Some say karma is a bitch, but here at the Boardroom we must have been doing something right.
We got wiped out a few months back, everything stolen from our shop, which really set us back.
Yesterday, a nearby neighbour happened to “find” a bunch of our stolen goods!?
Not sure how this happened, but considering everything, whether their is truth in the story or not, we are stoked to get our stuff back!
Our online shop has been down the last couple of weeks as we had nothing to sell. It’ll be coming back asap, but until then, check Facebook Marketplace for some good karma deals coming to Knysna and the Garden Route.

We are not supported by the municipality, there are no rich investors, we don’t have a big entourage of people working for us, this is us trying to grow and shape the future of the Garden Route skate scene.

Since opening a few weeks back we’ve had so many skaters come through the skatepark doors.
So rad to see all the good vibes and everyone coming together for good times.
To give the LOCAL skaters a summer plan we have decided to drop our monthly price for January 2023.
Normally R400 per calendar month, if you are a local you can skate for the whole of January (21 sessions) for the price of R333*
That works out to be R15 per session, or R5 per hour!

Skater owned means you are putting money back into other skaters’ pockets.
They are the ones who support the local skate scene, sponsor talent, help people learn, build places to skate because THEY WILL BE SKATING WITH YOU!
We understand that everyone wants the cheapest price, value for money is important. But without the local scene and true skate culture, skateboarding will slowly die again.
We are aware that the mall will be a few rands cheaper than us. But it’s like buying a new bike from a car dealership. Sure they can sell it to you, it may even be cheaper, but when your local bike shop goes out of business and you have noone to go riding with anymore, you can’t really complain.
Support the local skate scene. Support skater owned. Go skate, hang out, and maybe buy a cap or something. It’ll help keep shops and skateparks open a little longer.
