All Companies need to file annual tax returns.

Your IT14 year-end return will be submitted with the information on your financial statements, and these will usually be uploaded with your tax return.

You should get an accountant to draw up your year-end financial statements to ensure they are compliant with the Companies Act, as well as the Income Tax Act.

All Companies need to file provisional tax returns.

Your year-end is on your Company Registration document. Your provisional tax returns are due to SARS every 6 months - on the year-end, and 6 months after that.

File these returns, even if they are NIL, to avoid penalties for non-submission.

Notice:

Provisional taxpayers need to submit returns before the end of January and then provisional tax returns in February.

So make sure you know what you need before then!
