KANYE WEST NOT TO PERFORM AT THE GRAMMYS

This follows what is believed to be a "racial remark" and online misconduct made by a rapper in response to Television talk show host Trevor Noah's comments with regards to his behavior towards his ex wife Kim Kardashian.

The rapper took to socials to respond to what the comedian said,
The pressure forced Instagram to suspend the user (Kanye West) from it's platform and delete his recent disturbing posts.

Now the music Academy Grammy has announced to have pulled the rapper from performing at its coming ceremony which will be hosted by Trevor Noah.
This is due to "concerning online behavior", according to the Grammys.

ICASA hereby confirms the successful conclusion of the much-anticipated radio frequency spectrum auction today. The auction involved six qualified bidders i.e. Cell C, Vodacom, Telkom, Rain Networks, Liquid Intelligent Technology and MTN.
There was one unsold spectrum lot of 2x10MHz in the IMT800 Band. This lot will still be licensed by the Authority in future.

Provincial Commissioner congratulates Brits FCS for securing another two life sentences


NORTH WEST - The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, congratulated the Brits Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit for securing another two life sentences in one week. This is after the North Gauteng High Court sitting in Pretoria sentenced two accused, aged 27 and 32, to life imprisonment each on Friday, 4 March 2022.

The sentencing came after the accused gang r***d the then 14-year-old minor in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 25 December 2019, at Letlhabile near Brits.

It was reported during the court proceedings that the minor victim and her male friend were walking home at about 04:00 after attending a music festival when confronted by four suspicious males. One of the males, grabbed the victim and took her to nearby bushes, where he and one of his companions took turns in ra**ng her. They then compelled the victim’s male friend to r**e her. Upon realising that the friend was only pretending to be ra**ng his friend, the accused assaulted him until he acted as if he was unconscious. The two accused then continued to r**e the victim. The third male, aged 26, left the scene with the victim’s cellphone. The accused further robbed other festival attendees of their valuables including cellphones.

The three accused were sentenced as follows:

26-year-old accused:

One count of common robbery: 15 years imprisonment.

Two accused persons aged 27 and 32:

One count of kidnapping: two years imprisonment each One count of armed robbery: 15 years imprisonment each.

One count of attempted compelled r**e: 10 years imprisonment each.

One count of assault: five years each.

One count of r**e: life imprisonment each.

Couple nabbed for employer missing millions

GAUTENG – The Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes remanded a couple charged with fraud and theft in custody regarding their employer’s missing millions.

It is alleged that between July 2015 and October 2020, Andrew Butho Sipondo (43) was employed by a Bryanston based company, Turnkey Interiors (PTY) Ltd as a project manager. He reportedly created fraudulent suppliers’ invoices and transferred approximately R4.5 million into three bank accounts belonging to his girlfriend and co-accused, Silethiwe Patricia Zulu (40).

A warrant of arrest was issued for the couple’s apprehension after the matter was reported to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in Johannesburg.

The duo handed themselves in at the Hawks’ Johannesburg office yesterday accompanied by their legal representative. Sipondo and Zulu were immediately charged with fraud and theft. They appeared in court on the same day where they were remanded in custody pending in investigation.
