Thermocline - The Story
The team was first established in 2000 by Herman Geldenhuys as an individual competing team in the local LABA Bassmaster league. Herman competed a number of years individually with many success over the years.
In 2013 Herman, together with 5 other boats initiated the very first competition on Klipkoppie dam outside White River under the name “Lowveld Bass Trail”. They had the aim to grow a non-profitable competition in the region.
The Lowveld Bass Trail grew steadily over the following years and shortly after the first event, Jannie Stander joined Herman as co-angler competing under the team name.
In a run of 4 years on the Lowveld Bass Trail from 2013 - 2016, the team achieved amazing results. Above all, the team proved to be consistent. This included winning the 2015 LBT final held at Inyaka dam.
