The STEPMED team offers a range of rehabilitation disciplines, all of which have a special interest in the treatment of patients whose symptoms are largely due to neurological fallouts.

‼️StepMed joined Nelspruit MediClinic with their STROKE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN at Ilanga Mall, Nelspruit 19-20 September‼️
It’s important that the community can recognise the signs of a stroke and take immediate action to prevent long-term damage. A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted, leading to potential brain damage or death. Early recognition and treatment are crucial to improving outcomes.
The acronym **FAST** helps identify stroke symptoms:
• F for “FACE” - Is one side of the face drooping?
• A for “ARM” – Can the person raise both arms, or is one arm weak?
• S for “Speech” – Is speech slurred or strange?
• T for “TIME” - Time to call emergency services immediately if any of these signs are present.
Some of our staff had the opportunity to have serious discussions with community members about their health and wellbeing. Others.. just had fun…
