Our PwC Southern Africa CEO, Shirley Machaba participated in the inaugural Private Sector Symposium against GBVH, where leaders came together to address Gender-Based Violence and Harassment in the workplace.
Organisations play a crucial role in advocacy and raising awareness about the growing prevalence of gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), and helping to eradicate GBVF should be a top priority for both the public and private sector.
As PwC, we believe that by honing on our collective efforts and actively engaging in community initiatives and supporting policy changes, businesses can contribute to broader efforts to combat GBVF and promote gender equality. Addressing these challenges requires a coordinated approach that spans all levels of society, ensuring that efforts to combat GBVF are integrated into broader strategies for social stability and resilience.
