Mental health plays a critical role in an individual's life and overall well-being, encompassing psychological, emotional, and social aspects. In a workplace setting, mental health is of utmost importance as it significantly influences employee performance, productivity, and overall well-being. Given that a substantial amount of time is spent in the workplace, it has a notable impact on mental health. Thus, it is now essential, rather than optional, to prioritize support for mental health in the workplace.

Today, in a show of support for the well-being of our employees, Entsika teamed up with wellness provider Lyra for a presentation that highlighted the importance of living a healthy and balanced lifestyle. During the event, we had open and friendly discussions about family and relationships, well-being, burnout and stress, work stress, financial coaching, and legal advice.

Entsika is built on pillars of excellence, quality of work, sustainability, and teamwork. We acknowledge that prioritizing employee care is not just a moral obligation, but also a strategic imperative that lays the foundation for a thriving, resilient workforce capable of navigating the complexities of the modern business landscape.

The Entsika Foundation

Entsika is very active in deploying socio-economic transformation activities in South Africa, both through the main consulting firm itself, and through the Entsika Foundation, a non-profit company (NPC) affiliated to Entsika, registered in 2011. The Foundation’s main mission and vision is to touch lives and make a difference in the community by developing, mentoring and supporting young people to be great leaders.

Entsika Foundation’s socio-economic transformation achievements to date have been in the following areas:

Education, Training and Skills Development

Entsika values the ongoing learning and development of our employees and the community at large, and actively supports education, training and skills development initiatives both internally and externally.

Rural Development

Entsika is heavily involved in development and integration activities in the rural areas, which range from supporting minor-headed families to building infrastructure.

Food Security

Entsika provides food security in many disadvantaged communities by ensuring reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food by regularly donating food parcels to these communities.

Donation of Goods

Entsika donates various goods including toiletries and school uniforms for example, towards worthy causes.

Stakeholder Health and Wellness

Entsika believes that an integral part of personal development is sustained health and wellness. This is not limited to Entsika employees only, but extends to our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, whereby Entsika meets the full costs of covering such people as members of the Entsika Athletics Club. The Club is also an avenue for community development, as proceeds of joining fees, race winnings etc. are channelled back towards meeting the needs of the less fortunate, especially those in the rural areas.

Small Business Development

Small business development is a priority area for Entsika, which already enjoys our full backing and support as a firm. We believe in a simple, yet effective targeted approach, whereby people are empowered by harnessing their potential and providing them with skills and opportunities for further development. We target previously disadvantaged people primarily, with the aim of improving their prospects and immediate quality of life.
