It's so amazing witnessing young women strive to become better versions of themselves and going beyond bounderies. One of our own as a country of South Africa Melissa Phiwe Hobe will be representing South Africa abroad on Miss World Heritage 2024 this coming March, not only as a model but also an ambassador of our country and culture.

I remember starting working closely with models in Durban under Durban Two Point Entrainment a lot was going on in Durban especially when it comes to models. A number of them joined our movement as Durban Two Point Entrainment terminating their contracts they had signed with well known big modeling agencies in Durban at that time. It's so unfortunate that the organization did not go as we planned it to be due to personal difficulties and differences with my guys and we closed down and went separate ways although the aim was to teach, uplift and promote the beauty of the work those young ladies had.

The most common reasons models were living agencies included exploitation, sexual harassment, empty promises, favoritism, huge sum of monies paid to agencies by models for the so called joining fees and portfolio building.

I saw a need to start my own organization with the aim to teach more about the industry with the help of other loyal members. I than started Intandokazi Magazine and Afrikalture Entrainment which was already working closely with models together with Isolezwe and Ilanda Newspapers on their model features. I tried hosting my own pageant but couldn't work out quite well due to lack of sponsorships and my financial difficulties because I did not want models to contribute instead I wanted them to reap knowledge out the pageant while doing what they love the most. That's when I decided to stop and look for a better way with not so much to cost me, that's when the idea of Intandokazi Models Workshop comes in which is a continuation of the purpose I want to serve which is giving knowledge to young models through successful models, photographers, entrepreneurs, fashion designers, etc.

We are excited to share with you this wonderful news. In partnership with Afrikalture Entertainment we are looking forward to hosting a beautiful initiative for models across the entire Province called Intandokazi Models Workshop aiming to teach and empower models to help them understand the entire modeling industry better.

This phenomenal event will be taking place in Durban and it is open to models of all ages and gender regardless of the city or province you coming from. With the interviews we have had with different models as Intandokazi Magazine over the years taught us a lot more about young models that want to make it big in this field.

Amongst some things we have learned is that most of them have been scammed and let down many times by certain individuals and organizations before because they lack knowledge. Also we have learned that most of them struggle in terms of branding themselves and associating themselves with the right circle that will help them learn and strive with the industry. Some have fear to communicate, fear to take a stand and embrace themselves and the love they have for their talents.

With us hosting this workshop we believe it will be impact most models positively, equip them, make the shine and become the supermodels that they want to be. With our guests panel from different fields that are in connection with modeling such a photographers, successful models, fashion designers, entrepreneurs, etc, we believe everything is possible to help you as model learn more about the importance of:

* branding yourself
* turning your modeling to business
* marketing yourself
* behavior
* research
* associating yourself with the right circles and channels

Also you will equipped with more knowledge about:

* business/ entrepreneurship
* communication
* administration
* leadership
* partnership deals
* understanding pageants
* understanding different types of modeling and the opportunities out there
