NSFAS

- If you applied for NSFAS last year and were approved but didn't start school, you'll need to reapply.
- If you applied last year, got rejected, appealed, and didn't receive funding, you'll also need to reapply.
- If your NSFAS status isn't "Registration Received," and you're a registered student who didn't get allowances or fees paid, you'll have to reapply.
- Returning students don't need to reapply; they need to pass at least 55% of their modules (6 out of 10) to be funded. Failing to meet this requires an appeal.
- If you apply but no documents rey, that's okay.
- If you apply and get approved at the same time, congratulations, you're good to go.

You need at least Grade 9 to study at a TVET College, and NSFAS will fund you.

Nsfas 2025 applications will now open on the 20th of September 🔌

You can apply online via www.nsfas.org.za using your phone or laptop.

Step 1 : Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click “myNSFAs” tab
Step 2 : Create a MyNSFAs account
Step 3 : Click on the “Apply” tap and continue the sections on the screen
Step 4 : Upload required supporting documents where applicable
Step 5 : Click on “Submit”
Then Done with your application.
