Queens must be protected this Summer.
Do not forget to save a King too.
With Giant Chess Pieces this summer we won't have any dull moments.
On the 8th of December at 2 Mendi Arts Centre.
We will introduce the Black and White pieces to the public.
We are making history.
For a reason some of us are black and some are white like Chess Pieces.
Pieces are moving harmoniously and strategically from different angles a Chess board keeps them in line.
Promotion of social cohesion in our communities is about to take place.
Let's join hands and take a move.
Attitudes and selfishness must come to an end we have no time in this world. We die like flies.
Give a hand to a child you won't regret.
Whites Only/Non Whites only we moved away from those New Brighton station signage of 1952
Tramway busses too had similar signage.
2022 through Chess we will celebrate the 1952 defiance campaign.
We push beyond boundaries life is about choices and strategies.
Through a Chess board many lessons will be taught.
Queens are protected in any war a Chess game will be able to guide you to protect your own Queen at home.
Young Boys will be taught how to protect females in our societies.
This is a reason why we encourage parent's to support the initiative.
Fezayona Imizamo NPC is using sport as a tool to save the Children.
Donate a Chess board as a Christmas gift you will feel proud one day.
A conducive environment for children to play will bring the pride back and that will save Children from Substance abuse.
Update, due to unforseen circumstances the exhibition is postponed till Feb (02, 03, 04, 05) 2022.

♟️CREATIVE CHALLENGE BY THE NMB ARTISTS' DATABASE ♟️
CHESS SETS...FOR THE UPCOMING NEW BRIGHTON | MENDI ARTS CENTRE - CHESS CLUB ♟️
Mike Pantsi is starting a Chess club - which will run from the Mendi Arts Centre.
Marsha Odendaal Rensburg has kindly donated some chess boards 🤗⭐👏🏽 (Mike has also received some excellent support with people donating chess sets)
Artists are invited to come on "board" & to kindly volunteer their services to help out our New Brighton children - to create some lovely & unique chess pieces.
[[ Here are some examples of creative figurines attached - nor to be copied, but to serve as inspiration. 🤗 How about even an Artist created life size chess set outside the Mendi Arts Centre? ]]
It would be awesome if sponsors such as :
• the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum
• the Red Location Art Gallery
• the MBDA &
• NMB Tourism
could come on "board" & support this venture 🤗
How about having an art exhibition afterward - on these creative chess sets - once completed?

Jongumsobomvu Traditional dance group from Joe Slovo Nelson Mandela Bay.
I have a long list of Poets and Traditional dancers who are willing to perform free of charge outside the venue at Mendi Arts Centre today.
I had to tell some of them we are not organizing a Traditional festival but celebrating the life lived by the late Reverend Dr James James Ranisi Jolobe.
All I can say dedication is the key to success.
We have come this far with this project by faith.
Heritage Month has come and it's gone.
Ntlakohlaza siyabulisa.
The Legacy of a Poet of the cross is going to bring back hope.
Our libraries will be opened up again one day.
Our communities will be given opportunities to participate in their upkeep.
Library committees and structures that allows communities to participate in protecting assets that are available in our communities must be encouraged and supported.
The Department of Arts and Culture has failed to provide guidance to Municipalities regarding this gap.
The gap is too wide and visible. Library services and Communities must work together.
We need access and support from the departments.
Religious groups must create platforms for communities to grow spiritually mentally and physically.
Let's create more platforms for Children to play.
At Mendi Arts Centre today it's a great day.
I just cannot believe it's a 1st of October.

"
The late Rev Dr JJR Jolobe Memorial lecture.
Friday the 1st at the Mendi Arts Centre.
Time 3pm.
He was one of the pillars of New Brighton a community leader,a Poet of the cross an Author and a well-known Minister of religion.
He was a beacon of hope.
When the Church,
Family and the Municipality agreed to support the initiative I praised the almighty.
My mission of encouraging community members in partipating and in supporting library services will never stop.
Participating in programs that uplifts our social standards satisfy our needs, goals and objectives as community members.
Our Department of Sport Recreation Arts and Culture must create a space for library committees and the friends of the libraries to participate.
Such structures are not often used enough by our departments.
Artists, learners, and our communities must utilize libraries as a source of information and be the watch dogs of libraries.
Libraries will never be vandalized if communities are participating in the upkeep of a library.
The Legacy program of the late Rev Dr James James Ranisi Jolobe is going to bring back the sense of pride and collaborations amongst different stakeholders.
I wish to thank everyone who supported this dream that became an idea.
When you surround yourself with positive minds everything is possible.
People who will push and support your initiative fully especially if it is part of nation building.
Our communities are inneed of fresh ideas during these years of Covid Pandemic.
Years of strife and hunger where our hearts are broken every day.
Hope is what must keep us going.
We will be touching lives of all in New Brighton's of the Province as we will be following the footsteps of the late Rev Dr James James Ranisi Jolobe.
Revival of African Literature is our objective.
Let's join hands and make sure that we realize the importance of literature especially in younger generations.
Together we can."
