Happy Heritage Day, South Africa!
We proudly celebrate our beautiful rainbow nation – today and every day! 🇿🇦
The NWU Business School PUI for 3Q 2024, although still in negative territory, eased substantially to 53.5 from 68.3 in 2Q 2024 (baseline 50). On balance, the positive factors, therefore, greatly outweighed the negative ones over the last three months. After several years of an elevated trend, the PUI now is again on the cusp of positive territory.

We had a great time engaging with prospective students at our Mahikeng open day.
Applications for the PGDM, MBA and PhD programmes are open. Visit our website for more information: https://nwubusinessschool.co.za/.
Last night, we hosted an inspiring fireside chat during the PGDM Block D Study School in Mahikeng. James Ramakau led a dynamic discussion on 'The Big Question' surrounding the MBA programme. He was joined by MBA alumni, Dintle Brenda Tumagole, Director at the Department of Public Roads (NW) and Neo Kwaeng, Plant Engineer Manager at Eskom, who shared valuable insights on leadership and how the MBA has shaped their impact in their fields. Current PGDM students Thuto Ramakatsa and Oscar Mosenogi also shared their journey of how the PGDM has accelerated their career growth, and that they look forward to joining the MBA programme next year.
Thursday vibes at the PGDM Block D Study School at the Protea Hotel in Mahikeng.
We kicked off with a great recap by PGDM Programme Leader, Tebello Hilda Msimanga (MCom), followed by an energetic 'How to be a Millionaire' game show led by Tshediso Joseph Sekhampu. One of our students with a little help from the crowd, clinched the win and 'became a millionaire'!
Representing the MBA team, Mbali Skosana inspired our PGDM students to aim higher by exploring the MBA programme – encouraging them to apply before applications close on 31 October.
Later, Dr Theresa Lisita led a creative ideation session where teams built survival models for catastrophic scenarios. The room was buzzing with ideas, collaboration, and plenty of teamwork!
With the final stretch of their PGDM studies in sight, we’re rooting for our students as they finish strong.
Tonight, we’re excited for a fireside chat with our alumni, and more classes tomorrow.

Snippets from last night’s fireside chat at the PGDM Study School.
Dr James Ramakau facilitated a panel discussion focusing on leadership and why it would be beneficial for our students to consider doing the MBA. Joining him on the panel were our current MBA students: Joseph Mabina, Zanobia Kanjee and Tommy Phiri. Nkosinathi Tom (MBA alumni) shared his experience of his MBA journey and how the programme has impacted his career growth and personal life. Puso M (current PGDM student) shared his aspirations of transitioning from the PGDM to the MBA.
The conversations were flowing with a networking dinner that sealed off the great evening.
We're excited to be hosting the Block D PGDM Study School at The Roots, Potchefstroom! Today, our full-time and part-time students gathered for an action-packed day, starting with a Block C recap led by PGDM Programme Leader, Tebello Msimanga.
Our Chief Director, Prof Joseph Sekhampu, took the stage with a fun twist, hosting a 'How to be a Millionaire' game show – and one lucky student walked away with the 'million' after a thrilling Q&A session!
Dr Kaizer Ndlovu inspired our PGDM students to take the leap and apply for the MBA programme. Dr Theresa Lisita fueled their creativity with an ideation session where students built survival models for catastrophic events – teamwork and innovation at their best!
We’re rooting for all our students as they head into the final stretch of their PGDM journey. Best of luck, you're almost there!
We're looking forward to tonight’s fireside chat with our esteemed alumni and more engaging classes tomorrow. Let’s keep the momentum going!
