Naledi Christian Academy is a private, Christian, English-language primary school organized to serve Grade RRR (4 yrs. old) through Grade 7 students situated in Ikageng Extension 11, Potchefstroom, North West Province, South Africa. The school endeavours to equip each child with sound Biblically based educational and life skills as well as Godly wisdom, insight and character in order to become mat
ure, stable and productive members of society. The school was established as a joint venture between founding organizations Mosaic Community Developments and The TentMaker Trust (primarily funded by TentMaker Ministries, USA) to provide a quality Christian education to children in and around Ikageng Extension 11 who ordinarily would not be able to afford it. Naledi Christian Academy has its own corporate identity, Constitution, and Management Board separate from The TentMaker Trust and Mosaic Community Developments. The School’s Management Board, as defined in its Constitution, consists of the school Administrator, Pastor, Principal, Vice Principal, one or more senior Supervisors and one representative from each of the founding organizations. Funding for the construction of the school has primarily been provided by Mosaic Community Developments. Day to day management staff and funding of the operating costs are being provided by The TentMaker Trust (through TentMaker Ministries USA) until such time as local management staff and funding can be secured to allow the school to be locally managed and funded. The school is situated on a 1ha plot owned by Real Life Community Centre, which has granted a 50 year renewable lease to Malibelinye Community Center to develop the property for the benefit of the community. Malibelinye has in turn granted Naledi Christian Academy a long-term renewable lease of the school building and school grounds located on the plot. Malibelinye is a South African Non-Profit Corporation directed by representatives of Mosaic Community Developments, The TentMaker Trust, Real Life Community Center and Touching Africa, who provided the funds to Real Life Community Centre to purchase the plot.
