Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies' requires a Receiving Clerk for their Avenues Hilton Store (Opening Soon). You will ensure the efficient and accurate receiving and packing of stock in line with Dis-Chem’s SOPs and requirements, and customer needs within the store.
Essential:
Grade 12 / MatricComputer literateSound numerical skillsWilling and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
Previous receiving / retail / FMCG experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately verify, scan and capture physical goods received for the store, in accordance with company policy and standard operating proceduresReceive all warehouse goods and invoices in accordance with company policy and proceduresReturn all unordered or damaged goods delivered to the store and accurately complete credit notes for non-acceptance in accordance with company policy and SOPsVerify and check deliveries and invoices for total accuracyEnsure goods delivered are the goods invoiced and captured in terms of quantities, variant and conditionAssist the Receiving Manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims systemEnsure the flow of stock receipts through receiving is maintained, that deliveries arriving are receipted the same day and sent to the floorProcess all returns to suppliers in compliance with company SOPsEnsure all physical controls over the goods receiving area are in place and operationalMaintain storerooms are in an acceptable and orderly conditionAssist in managing and controlling high-risk stock
Competencies:

RECOMMENDATIONS
Relevant experience will be an advantage
Recognised and appropriate qualification in Financial Management will be an advantage.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Render financial accounting transactions
Receive invoices, check invoices for correctness, verification and approval, capturing
commitments, journals, receipts debts & payments on BAS, filling and safekeeping of financial
documents.
Perform booking support services
Clearing suspense accounts, record debtors and creditors on register, provide revenue
support services, journal processing, compile accruals and commitment schedule.
Render budget support services
Draw expenditure and detail reports, analyse reports and identify variances, maintain file for
HIV/AIDS budget, handling queries regarding financial transactions.
Vouchers control management
Request and print document control and disbursement report, ensure monthly submission of
batches to voucher control, balancing and reconciliation statement for petty cash account.
Expenditure management support
Completion of allocations on non-stock requisitions, order payments and turnaround time’s
forms, fruitless and wasteful expenditure report, journal processing, compile accruals and
commitment schedule
