Hello everyone, The Keagan Foundation would like to start helping a next child financially with medical expenses. If you know of a child with Cerebral Palsy who needs financial support, please get in touch with us. Then we would also like to approach the public regarding donations. It is absolutely for a good cause. TKF is already registered as NPC and we are in the process with our 18A application to be able to issue 18A certificates for tax purposes. As per our previous posts the photos and videos of our first boy who we helped and below our letter of intent. All other documentation can be requested.

Not in the mood today. Having botox done to both hamstrings, both adductors and right calve.

So this is where we are at. Six months after his achilles lengthening and weekly physio. It does still take alot of focus from Keagan to keep walking flat-footed and a reminder every now and then to put his heels down. We still going to do botox in his hamstrings and thighs and the one calve muscle to release his one foot a bit as it is pulling inward. Proud and happy mommy

Casts came off today after 7 long weeks. Looking very good, Prof is satisfied and I'm a happy Mommy. Right foot they corrected as much as possible without surgery so we will so how it goes later on.

So we got some good news. Keagan was accepted to New Hope School, this was his second week and is really enjoying it. We also having his achilles tendon lengthening done next week Tuesday. He will then be in casts for 6 weeks. As we go along we will sort the rest of his muscles. All and all he has to have lengthening done in his achilles, some muscle more to the front of the feet, hamstrings and his thighs/hips. Neuro and one of his other Paed Orthos said it's to much to do all at once as it's 5 hours in teater.

So we have been a bit busy these last couple of weeks. Keagan had to go for anotjer opinion with Dr Lamb at Zuid Afrikaans. With referal to Dr Goller, he suggested lengthening of the achilles as well, said we can wait a bit with the hamstrings. With referal to Dr Potgieter at Centurion Eye Hospital, Keagan is waiting for his new glasses, from a +3 to a +1.25, great improvement. We have to see him in three months time again and then he will decide if they should correct Keagan's eye further with surgery. Keagan also got resting AFOs for now for bedtime just to help with the deterioration a bit as his mucsles then stretch for at least 8 hours a day, he is doing well in them as it doesn't bother too much while he is sleeping. We also had a consultation with Deepa an OT, she did a BEERY test and Keagan is up to standard for his age it's just the big motor skills that's lacking because of his legs and balance, so now we are trying to get him into New Hope School also with referal from Dr Lamb. Will post an update as soon as we know.

The Keagan Foundation The Keagan Foundation was created to assist parents with Cerebral Palsy children financially.

Sooo we had our appointment with Dr Potgieter for muscle lengthening in his ankles (more than just the achilles mucsle needs lengthening so cutting more to the front) his hamstrings and the groins, and yet again the medical aid declined. We now have an appointment this coming Saturday with Dr Lamb at Zuid Afrikaans as per the medical aid for another opinion. Hopefully he will agree with Dr Potgieter's treatment. Let's all hope for the best!

And so the time has come. We finally have our appointment with dr Potgieter at the Cerebral Palsy Centre in Pta on Thursday.... Can't wait

Hallo almal, Keagan het nog steeds dringend mediese hulp nodig. Soos baie van julle weet, soek ons ​​nou al 'n rukkie na finansiële bystand. Ons kort nog R25000.00 vir die Botox prosedure wat Keagan in die onmiddellike toekoms sal help om die styfheid in sy bene te verminder. Ons het reeds by die SAID aansoek gedoen om vrystelling en artikel 18A sal teruggedateer wees vir maatskappye indien nodig. Like en volg asseblief ons blad. Bankbesonderhede en maatskappyregistrasie kan ook verskaf word. Enige skenking sal ons help om Keagan te help, hoe klein dit ook al is

Hello everyone, Keagan is still in desperate need of medical assistance. As a lot of you know we have been looking for financial assistance for a while now. We are still R25000.00 short for the Botox procedure that will help Keagan in the immediate future to lessen the tightness in his legs. Next year he has to undergo muscle and tendon lengthening surgery. We have started a NPC for Keagan (and would like to help more children with the same disability in the near future too) to give people and companies that want to donate surety as to what the funds will be used for and allocated to. We have already applied with SARS for exemption and section A18 will be back dated for companies if needs be. Please like and follow our page.
