WHAT IS REFLECTED ON THE STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL POSITION?
The businessâ financial position on a specific date, usually the last day of the financial period for which the profit and loss account is drawn, is reported on the Statement of financial position, also called a balance sheet. The financial position of the business is determined by the value of its assets, liabilities and equity, as reflected on this statement.
True success stems from finding happiness in what you love to do.
WHAT IS OWNER EQUITY?
Equity (also called ownerâs interest), represents the amount that the business owes to its owner. The amount left after the assets of the business are used to pay off any outstanding liabilities. We can thus say that assets less liabilities equals equity. This is called the accounting equation.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ASSET AND LIABILITY?
An asset is something that the business owns which it can use to generate income with.

WHAT IS REFLECTED ON THE STATEMENT OF INCOME?
The businessâ financial performance, for a certain period, is reported on the Statement of income, also called an income statement. The performance of the business is measured in terms of the profit or loss that was made. This is calculated by subtracting the businessâ expenses from its income. A profit is made when income is more than expenses, and a loss is made when expenses are more than income.
"A map of daily improvement act as a powerful tool to develop teams and organisations; this âliving documentâ provides fresh goals and develops new skills so people push themselves harder, become more capable and achieve more for the team." James Kerr

The worldâs first accountants worked for the temples, keeping track of taxes paid in sheep and agricultural produce for the religious authorities of the day.
