On completion of construction the main contractor (builder) will need to request the building inspector to do a site inspection. The main contractor will have to supply all relevant certificates by registered installers.

These certificates will include;

Electrical COC

GAS COC

Plumbing COC

Glazing (windows)

Our in-house engineer can sign off on all plans and assist with design on structural and civil engineering.energy efficiency (SANS 10400 compliance) and engineering Certificates .

DG ARCHITECTURE’s sister company Engineering Slab Solutions offer engineer approved concrete slabs; Supply, delivery and installation. Our in-house engineer offers assistance on request with guiding installation on thermal acoustic slab systems if you are not familiar with the installation process.

Slab Solutions offer:

Thermal acoustic slab system. These systems are light weight and offer easy installation with temperature and sound insulation between floors.

Block and Lintel. Pre-cast block and lintel system.

In-situ slabs. Slabs are cast on site.

DG ARCHITECTURE if requested by the client, can assist with the process of obtaining occupation on the completed building.

DG ARCHITECTURE offer turn key project management. This service follows the architectural process from inception to close-out. Construction is during stage 5 of this process, but we can assist with each stage individually.

Stage 1 Inception:

Developing a clear project brief. We check what you need and advice on rights, constraints, consents and approval. Define which consultants might be needed e.g. Engineers, Land surveyor, Quantity surveyor etc.

Stage 2 Concept Design and project Viability:

We prepare and finalise the concept of the design according to all specifications given by the client and check that the project is structurally and financially viable.

Stage 3 Design Development

We develop the approved design and finalize all the details.

Stage 4 Documentation

We prepare that technical drawings and documentation for local authority (council) submission and approval.

Stage 5 Construction

We manage and monitor the building process. Procurement of materials and finishes. Attend regular site and progress meetings with contractors and assist with clarifying details during construction.

Stage 6 Close-out

Once the building work has been completed, we can assist with obtaining all the relevant documentation and to obtain occupation.
