The team at REIS Interiors was tasked with creating a take-out store that celebrated the established traditions and simplicity of Parreirinha within a small and compact store on Oxford street in Illovo.
Parreirinha Rapido brings the flavours of Joburg’s oldest family-run Portuguese restaurant to the northern suburbs. The Rapido branch on Oxford street in Illovo was designed and developed to bring Parreirinha's most popular dishes to the doorstep of their many patrons in the North.
The bespoke mural on the wall tells the story of the origins of the family’s humble restaurant in La Rochelle using a traditional Portuguese azulejo style. Within a few weeks of opening, loyal patrons had begun leaving their ties at Parreirinha Rapido. Anyone that’s been to the one and only Parreirinha in La Rochelle would understand that nod to a 47-year-old tradition.

Specializing in I.V. wellness treatments, provides customers with immune-boosting vitamin and nutrient drips.
The subtle sheer curtains act as room dividers to give each customer their privacy while ensuring the space still feels airy and comfortable. Each bay has a plush armchair and a footrest allowing customers to re-energise in a calm and luxurious environment.

Working in collaboration with Arch Cycles in Melrose Arch Trek HQ in Waterloo, Wisconsin, REIS Interiors designed and implemented the first Trek Concept Store in Africa.
Arch Cycles showcases two of the most sought-after bicycle brands in the world, Trek and Bontrager. The store features a full-service bike shop and access to a full line of leading cycle accessories, clothing and cycling gear.
The store includes a direct link to The Grind Greenery, a specialty coffee shop and healthy eatery.

The Grind Greenery provides a health-food breakfast and lunch offering specializing in vegetarian dishes.
The kitchen is open to the restaurant so patrons can see how their delicious meals are prepared and served.

The new Café at Grand Slam Diner by REIS Architecture and Interiors.
The new Café section, built on an existing timber deck, was designed and developed to operate independently from the popular sports diner and expand on Grand Slam’s food and beverage offering to their loyal patrons.
REIS transformed the interior and exterior deck area into a courtyard garden café setting, creating a calm and intimate café experience where patrons can enjoy traditional Portuguese pastries and light meals.
The Café features a bespoke designed three-tiered counter façade in teal metro tiles with LED backlighting.

A bespoke coffee counter for by REIS Architecture, Interiors & Furniture. This unique ‘coffee shop’ can be found on the factory floor of Genio’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly plant in Honeydew.
The design of the counter façade and structure was inspired by materials and features found on Genio’s incredible coffee roasting machines.
The circular birch plywood table-top serves as a coffee tasting counter for cupping events.
Genio's coffee is brewed via integrated and minimalist espresso and pour-over machines. The brewing equipment is located under the counter.

House 233 Monaghan Farm by REIS Architecture is a family home designed to take in the vast open landscape creating a unique open-to-nature living experience.
The house has a circular rock-clad steam room with a glass roof and a games room/pub that leads out the pool area.
The home features an energy-efficient water-based underfloor heating system, double glazing, insulated walls and ceiling cavities, solar geysers, and other high-performance energy-saving materials and systems.

The continuous stone fin wall at 233 Monaghan Farm runs between the games room and guest suite, ending in the circular steam room. Horizontal and vertical glass slots separate the stone wall from the concrete roof and walls.

The open plan living area (lounge, kitchen, dining) opens out onto a large covered patio overlooking an expansive garden, infinity-edge swimming pool and, a firepit. The house has a circular rock-clad steam room with a glass roof, a games room/pub that leads out the pool area and, a separate guest suite.
The bedroom wing contains 4 bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. All the bedrooms are north facing, all open out to the landscape and each room has views of the Magaliesberg mountain range.
The master bathroom with its free-standing bathtub and window-side shower overlooks a private garden. Leading out from the bathroom is an outdoor shower set within a circular rock enclosure.
