Our showroom is a visual delight that showcases our extensive range of premium quality paints. With our new showroom, we aim to provide our valued customers with an unforgettable shopping experience that highlights the quality and uniqueness of our products.

We understand that your time is valuable, and that's why we woud like to communicate our new operating hours to you, to avoid disappointment.

We are now open from Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and closed on weekends.

*However, please note that we close at noon every first Friday of the month.

We are confident that our new showroom and updated operating hours will provide you with a more convenient and enjoyable shopping experience.

We have some great news! As per our monthly tradition, the factory will be closing at noon today, giving our hardworking employees an early start to the weekend. Charissa recently facilitated a creative introductory class into the wonders of Tjhoko paint. It was well-attended, colurful event and sparked the interest for a follow-up class where the ladies will re purpose previously loved items, giving them new flair!

The workshop was hosted at Gympie Women's Shed in Queensland - a haven of empowerment and creativity. Supported by generous donations and devoted volunteers, this non-profit organization is dedicated to uplifting women in the community. A safe space to unlock boundless potential.

Led by fearless Wise Women facilitators, these inaugural lessons hosted by Gympies offer endless possibilities. From woodworking to blacksmithing, writing to gardening, sewing to an array of crafts - the world is their Canvas!

Feeling Inspired? Yolandi Shared with us how she got the look:

1. Sanded the rough areas to make it smooth and removed the doors to flip them. Covered the old holes.
2. Sealed the cupboard where it would remain a wooden surface.
3. Painted the outside and doors with 1-2 coats of Lebo's Light as a base coat.
4. Painted 2 x coats of Real Red.
5. Painted the inside of the pannels with Elvis mix and Dani's Dare.
6. Used stencis as guidelines for painting.
7. Handpainted the rest of the detailing and filled in the stenciling.
8. Applied a coat of antique glaze to mute the artwork and make it look aged.
9. Sealed the entire cupboard with Clear Glaze.
10. Painted the new feet with Lebo's Light and 2 coats Ali's Gold.
11. Added on the hardware and put all the pieces together.

Hanna Elliot from Meraki Furniture Art shared a little bit about the process and how she got the look:

"The thrill of transforming an old dressing table into two unique bedside tables is what got me hooked on furniture artistry and Tjoko paint in the first place.

So when I stumbled across this oldpiece that was missing a middle drawer, I of course knew I had to repeat this creative process again.

1. The dresser needs to be taken apart carefully but you might have to use a hammer, and a screw driver to pry the pieces off.
2. Next the dowel holes and damage had to be filled and sanded smooth
3. I applied a layer of clear glaze first to prevent any bleed through 4. 3 layers of Vinia Stone on the body of both nightstands
5. I then sanded the varnish off the veneer on the drawers and dry brushed with Lady Lize
6. I mixed Vinia Stone with Stencil of Paris and applied over stencil
7. I sanded the drawers just to smooth out any sharp edges and sealed the whole piece with Clear Glaze"

1. Top was sanded down to natural oak and sealed with clear glaze
2. Colours uses were 5 parts Lourain’s Cream mixed with one part Early.
3. Stencil of Paris and Tjhoko stencil on the top drawers
4. Antique Brown Glaze on the stencil and dry brush Lady Lize followed by my base colour to soften it but retain some detail in the flowers
5. Sealed with Clear Glaze

And that is exactly what DIY Projects By Yolandi has done in this master bedroom makeover, complete with incredible intricate detailing and character. Plus the adorable artwork done by the assistance of the kiddes. So incredibly creative and oh-so-sweet!

𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊
Art project done with the kids. They each did their own one, and I combined their paints on the 3rd picture (with some of their fingerprints). After it dried, I did some line artwork to add some detailing. Painted the frames and then framed them. Now we have something special to hang in our home. Love the fact that their hand prints are also on it.

𝘛𝘫𝘩𝘰𝘬𝘰 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥:
Da'vid, Lebo's Light, Lovely Lorinda, Reddish Mellow, Gracious, Creative Crystal, Elvis Mix, Rose, Super Sonette and Olivia's Pale.

𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 & 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐁𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐃
We started off with Super Sonette but reverted to Lebo's Light. Cut some strips to frame it and glued them on. Then I proceeded with my stenciling. This took a lot of Stencil of Paris, but it was worth every bit! Then I painted over the dry stenciling and sanded it for detailing. Sealed with Clear Glaze.

I removed the top of the drawer stands and replaced it with a new pine top. Repaired where needed, painted the inside and outside. Sealed it and added new handles.

𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑
1. Cleaned out the room and prepared for paintwork.
2. Painted the accent wall with 2-3 coats Maestro.
3. Added the headboard and nightstands previously painted.
4. Drilled 3 holes on top of the headboard for the artwork to go on.
5. Added new bedding and accessories to complete the look.
6. Used two 15cm x 15cm wooden blocks from Tjhoko with a stencil pattern to be used as coasters on the nightstands.
