St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where our lovely ballet hall is located, will be serving the community this weekend and on the 1st of June. As a result, we will not be holding classes today, May 25th, or next Saturday, June 1st.

To ensure our students don’t miss out on their practice, we will make up the missed classes at the end of Term 3 on June 22nd and June 29th. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility with these changes.

Christine Walsh AM is the Director of The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet and the author of "Ballet Conservatoire." With a professional ballet career spanning 24 years, she became a Principal Artist both in Australia and internationally. After joining The Australian Ballet in 1972, she advanced to Principal Artist in 1978, performing major roles in renowned ballets like "Swan Lake" and "Giselle." Walsh represented Australia in prestigious international performances, including the Bolshoi Theatre and for Queen Elizabeth II at Covent Garden.

Retiring from full-time dancing in 1989, Walsh shifted her focus to teaching, coaching, choreographing, and directing ballet productions with her husband through Christine Walsh Enterprises Pty. Ltd. and The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. She has spearheaded international ballet tours and cultural exchanges, and has produced acclaimed annual ballet productions at the Arts Centre Melbourne since 2006.

Walsh founded the Ballet Conservatoire classical ballet training program 26 years ago, based on the Russian Method of classical ballet. This program is now practiced by over 400 dance institutions worldwide. She holds a Certificate in Education in the Visual and Performing Arts and was named a Member of the Order of Australia for her contributions to ballet. Her son, Benjamin Ella, is a soloist with the Royal Ballet.

Please take note that there will no class on Saturday the 25th and Saturday the 1st of June due to venue availability.

To catch up these classes we will have a class on the 22nd and 29th of June.

Beyond the Barre dance academy proudly teaches the Ballet Conservatoire training program.

Designed for students from age 5, it emphasizes correct placement, epaulement, and performing quality, developing a professional attitude for aspiring dancers and teachers.

The BC program is taught by over 400 teachers worldwide, with alumni accepted into prestigious ballet schools and companies globally. Perfect for those unable to commit to full-time training, this program balances part-time learning with professional growth.

Tiny toes twirl, giggles swirl! ✨🩰 Our ballet class for 4-6 year olds is where little dreams take flight! Join us for a world of graceful fun and twirls! 💖

We are looking for dancers aged 2 to 18 who have a passion for dance and a desire to be on stage.

The 1st of May is a public holiday, which allows most parents to be able to bring their aspiring dancer to the auditions.

If you can't make it on the 1st of May but would still like to audition, let us know to schedule an audition class.

A great big congratulations to our darling Holly who became head prefect at her school this year.

Holly is doing matric and played Maleficent in our 2023 theater production.
