Not only did we bid farewell to Dr Carina Vlachos but we also had to say goodbye to Teacher Antoinette Van Der Walt who has also retired. Antoinette we wish you everything of the best with this new chapter in your life and just know you will make a success of whatever you choose to do. Phew 😅 saying goodbye to 2 strong woman at once hasn't been easy. Antoinette you will be missed for so many reasons 💐

Adieu, farewell and goodbye, it is never easy saying goodbye to such a strong woman that has had such a profound effect on each and every learner and staff member at The Gateway School. We wish you well in your new path of "retirement"Dr Carina Vlachos.

**Exciting Day in Grade 1.2: Learning Through Voting!**

Today was a special day in Grade 1.2 as our young learners participated in a fun and educational voting activity. The learners learned about the voting process by choosing a leader for the animal kingdom. The candidates were Mr. Elephant, Mr. Dog, Miss Duck, Mr. Teddy Bear, and Miss Bee.

After verifying their ID cards, the learners cast their votes. We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Elephant emerged as the winner with 6 votes!
