My favourite part of my job is making things that seems impossible possible 🤭
I had a client ask me for something sweet to serve to family members who had the requirements:
Dairy free
Gluten free
Sugar free
And coconut free.

Thought at first glance it would be ok with all our vegan options but then realized our amazing chocolate ganache on our cupcakes has coconut cream in it. Then I thought maybe our vegan lemon berry or vegan carrot cake cupcakes could be an option, but the vegan butter we would use (as a butter or coconut oil) also has coconut oil in it.

So finally we were able to make our double chocolate fudge keto brownies that are sugar free, gluten free, dairy free and with more macadamia nut butter added to replace the coconut oil a gorgeous brownie was produced.

How pretty is the presentation they made? 🥰

So it seems most requests are doable and are still made with love ❤️. Anything you can't have or should stay away from, let me know and we can see what we can come up with as options!

Bare Nature is slowly increasing our vegan (and gluten free) options, we have added an incredible carrot cake with walnuts cupcake with a vegan buttercream to our always popular lemon berry and chocolate zucchini offerings, and a 'pop waffle' that goes in the toaster to crisp up (either sweet or savoury for this one). So if you are following a vegan lifestyle, are lactose intolerant or can't have eggs these are an amazing treat that you won't even realize is vegan (and gluten free!).. we can also use a sweetener of your choice ✨️

A client needed a special gluten free cake for a 75th birthday party...so we made two of our flourless chocolate fudge cakes, covered in a thin layer of our whipped chocolate coconut cream ganache, and then we added some incredible seasonal fruit on the top 🤭🥳

When you are asked to bake a sugar free, rainbow cake for a gorgeous girls 5th birthday party... it turned out so well 😍

So I have been playing around with an idea to make a range of both my flourless chocolate fudge brownies, and cookies (think big 150g cookies), the brownies would have toppings like fresh berries/white chic chips/roasted coconut chips/peppermint crisp etc and the cookies choc chip/triple chcocolate/peanut butter/walnuts etc. Here is a picture for inspiration for a brownie tray as a gift 🎁 looks delicious!!!

So with happy love day around the corner I decided to launch a tasting box of my favourite baked treats, so you can get all romantic with your significant other (or just keep them all for yourself if you prefer, no judgement 😂) feeding each other.

And because I think love should be celebrated all year round, it will be a last week of the month special going forward.

As we plan our adventure to Spain in June we slowly start wrapping up things here in Sa and that means selling my first baby (ie not Brooke or Annabelle 🤣) Bare Nature, and now Keto Kitchen as well. It has been a truly incredible experience starting Bare Nature from scratch over 11 years ago, and the lifestyle it has afforded me is amazing. I would say it would suit someone who has an interest in natural foods and products, enjoys to experiment with baking and cooking and has a personality who loves talking to clients and people at the markets. My incredible baker, Martha, would be part of the business transaction. What a day we had at market yesterday! Perfect weather, families out and about and David Delaney on top form!

Every year I say it's my last time pushing Annabelle at the rac tough one and every year it's rolls around I convince (read bribe) with a surprise lucky packets and sugar to let me push her one more time 🤣 this year my legs just didn't show up from the start, it's scary what dark places you go mentally especially knowing most of the climbs were in the last 10kms. Pierre Du Buisson and Brooke were on the sidelines again, just supporting us two and I am so grateful for them. Thanks to everyone shouting out there, it was hot hot hot (22 degrees at 5 this morning, and 28 degrees at 9), but the water stations were well stocked with ice cold waters. Thanks to God for getting me to the finish line 2mins slower than last year but with a gold medal waiting at the finish line for Annabelle (sub 2 45 it seems).

I had a request from a client for a keto friendly baked cheesecake.. so off I went and made a ginger cookie based sugar free, gluten free and grain free cheesecake.. I decided to top half with a chocolate drizzle to see what people preferred 🤩

I am just in love with this chocolate cake for a clients partners special 40th birthday. It is sugar free and gluten free and after asking what sprinkles/colour theme etc we could decorate it with, she said it's for her husband who is her hero. So she suggested superman.. so simple but sooo cool!
