*External Sales Rep*

The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new commercial business as well as perform cold-calls in the field to generate new permanent sales. This candidate should be able to support existing clients and maintain customer and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities
• Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
• Service existing clients
• Effectively demonstrate product line
• Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas
• Reposting and Record Keeping

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
• 5+ years' experience in cold calling sales with strong track record of success
• Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals

Due to company expansion, we are searching for an additional staff member: Junior Administrative Assistant.

SkyReach Zonkeh is a service driven parts manufacturer supplying parts to various industries around South Africa. We also supply parts to our sister company SkyReach – manufacturer the BushCat aircraft.
No manufacturing/production experience is required as the successful applicant will receive extensive in-house training.

The ideal candidate should:
• Have an interest in things mechanical/engineering.
• Have sheet metal and technical background knowledge.
• Understand the Laser Cutting Industry.
• Computer literate (MS office applications)
• Keen to learn about the parts manufacturing industry as well as SkyReach Zonkeh specific processes and work ethos.
• Be extremely organised & punctual.
• Have the right mind set to take ownership of their work related responsibilities.
• Work well under pressure and be deadline driven
• Possess a professional telephone manner
• Take pride in customer satisfaction
• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) would be advantageous
While this is a junior position, there is scope for excellent growth potential.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Updating of system
- Recording of information
- Purchasing raw materials
- Organizing of documents
- Dealing with clients and suppliers telephonically
- Relationship management
- Basic accounting/bookkeeping
- Reporting (Assist with preparing sales and Purchasing reports)
The place of work will be Springs Airfield in Gauteng. The successful candidate will need to ensure they are able to organise their own transport to and from the office from Monday to Friday and occasional weekends.

GETTING TO KNOW DENISE (De Jager) KRUGER

Life Motto: ‘’Live every day to learn and see at least 2 new things everyday’’

Denise Kruger grew up in a small town called Theunissen in the Free State and has since travelled all over due to her father’s position in the mining industry. Denise is the parts Division Manager for Rainbow Skyreach T/A SkyReach Zonkeh.

Rainbow Skyreach is a light sports aircraft designer and manufacturer based in Springs. They had the need to take control of the production of their laser cut parts and created a new division called SkyReach Zonkeh.
Denise has over 22 years’ experience in the engineering and steel industry, and with her abundance of knowledge she has played a major role in getting this start-up going.

How did you get involved in engineering and how has your career developed?

‘’I had an interest in engineering from a young age. I worked alongside my dad on mechanical projects (car and machine engines) at home growing up. He also took me with him visit mines where I was exposed to mine and drawing office operations.’
From there, Denise has taken up Technical Drawing at High School and was the top student throughout her school career.

After school Denise studied Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice where she was also the top student of the year and awarded with the “Master Builders Award’’.
‘’After completing my studies, I started working at Lockers Engineers as a junior draughtsman. I had the opportunity to work alongside the boilermakers and fabricators. Here I learned about assembly, and this strengthened my knowledge on the correct way of designing machines.’’

Form there Denise proceeded to work for major companies and on major projects. She worked at Sun International - Sun City, Trident Steel, Kennametal and Rio-Carb. She gained experience working as Project and Drawing Office Manager, CSD Specialist and Senior Estimator. She is now the Parts Division Manager for SkyReach Zonkeh and is studying Business Management Advanced Accounting.

Denise is ambitious and aims to further her career within the Engineering Industry. She would like to become a Managing Director within the industry and be in a position where she can share her skills to guide others.

How do you experience working in a man’s world?

‘’It can be challenging, but being a woman motivates me to be better and to think out of the box’’. ‘’Personally, I focus more on improvement and growth and not so much on working in ‘a man’s world’. In fact, many men have complimented my knowledge base, skills and work ethic and this contributes to building strong relationships with my customers.’’

Where do you see Skyreach Zonkeh in the future?

Denise has a vision to grow SkyReach Zonkeh to a trusted and recognised company that offers a variety of engineering solutions across Southern Africa and to a variety of industries. She and her team are working on expanding their service offering and connecting with a wider audience in need of Engineering Solutions.
