Pop in at our next market on Sunday 29 September and stock up on a few.

And then curl up with your favourite beverage and a treat or two that you purchased at the market and lose yourself in a story.

The amazing Cartoon Eddy is back with us and this is a glorious way to capture a memory. Have your portrait done cartoon style and you can even include your pooch!

Find Eddy's stall at our beautiful market on Sunday 29 Sep and take a seat on his comfy sofa while he creates magic with ink.

I found these cute little clip top bottles and thought they would make cool gift sets, so I've filled them with 3 different varieties of honey that I think represent the Lowveld.
Macadamia, Bush, and a Springtime Multi Flora.
The next step is designing the label, I'm going for simple and elegant.
I'm leaning more towards the one with the point at the top. It feels more balanced.
The idea is to tie it on with a piece of string .
I was thinking about changing the colour of the font for each variety.
I tried out loads of different fonts.
I had in mind, a softer, more cursive one, but I couldn't find one that looked cool and that was easy to read. No point in having a label if you can't read it ! Especially the word macadamia, which gets weirder the more you look at it !
Should I add B Smart Raw Honey under the bee ?

We are so excited about all the new delicious vendors at our monthly market. There is an abundance of fresh, frozen, ready to eat and simply delicious treats available. Hilights of day 1 and 2

Market day 3
Today I'm outside the mall in the carpark.
No climate control here !
But at least I could off load next to my stall !
As you can see the number of stalls has increased.
We are at the back of the Marathon stage, bar, and seating area.
The hope is that people will stop by after the prize giving 🤞
My gut feeling is, we are going to get to go home a bit earlier than planned !
Looking forward to spending my Sunday at the Botanical Gardens for the Clivia Show.
Shady trees, grass, beautiful plants and the soothing sound of birds singing.
Lovely.
I'm feeling a bit battered from all the noise.

It would have taken me forever, alone.
Now the set up starts.

It has just gone 8pm and I'm calling it a day.
112 bottles and buckets filled.
69 labeled.
I'll call that a win.
The majority of the unlabeled bottles are the Canahoney ones which require me to cut out a sticker.
36 of of them !
My hands are so sore and tired I can't even hold the scissors !
Long trading day tomorrow
I'm sure there will be time.

I have a dilemma.
I've got 4 market days ahead of me, starting tomorrow.
I have a feeling I don't have enough cleaned recycled bottles to cover the 4 days.
There's no time to do more.
I have the solution to my problem right next to me, in the form of plastic squeezy bottles - lots of them.
No cleaning required.

Now its time for labeling.
I like doing the buckets first cos they are quick & easy plus they are big so when I'm done, it feels like I've done a lot !

It's my favourite time of year.
Spring has sprung and the bees have been very busy. Everywhere I go, the air is filled with the sound of buzzing.
