TOPIC: NULL AND VOID MARRIAGES

A null and void marriage is one that is found not to be legally binding and therefore cannot enjoy the protections and provisions of the law applying to marriage.

I read in the papers some years ago about a person who sued for divorce after being in marriage for many years only to discover that there was no marriage in the first place. Case dismissed!

QUESTION: What would lead to a marriage being declared " null and void" even if a couple have lived together for many years?
note: Our learned Counsels are invited to enlighten us.

QUESTION; What valid reason in your view should cause the officiating minister NOT. to proceed with.the marriage ceremony?

TOPIC: CHRISTIAN MARRIAGES AND PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS

A Prenutial agreement is a legal document signed by two people before they marry stating what will happen to their assets in the event of their marriage ending whether by divorce or death of a spouse. For example, they may agree to say whatever assets they possessed before marriage should not be included on their list of matrimonial assets.

For our discussion this Friday;
1. Should Christians contract prenuptial agreements?
2. Does a Prenuptial agreement contradict marriage vows? e.g " All my earthly goods I share with you"..
