GROWING UP
1 Corinthians 13
1. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Today's Philippians 3:1-6
3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more.
3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
Blessed day....
Good Morning Pathfinders and Parents.
Today's devotional text is coming from
Jeremiah 9:23-24
9:23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches.
9:24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Blessed day to you all.
Good morning Parents and Pathfinders. Hope we are well and remembered to thank God to the miracle of life. Today's devotional text is based on
1 Corinthians 1:20-31
1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Blessed day to you all.
This week's devotional title is
-WHAT ABOUT ME
Today's devotion is Colossians 2:8-23
2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
2:19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
2:22 Which all are to perish with the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
2:23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Colossians

4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Wenesday Devotion Micah 7
7:1 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
7:2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.7:3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
7:4 The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.7:5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
7:6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
7:9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
7:10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
7:11 In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.
7:12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
7:13 Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.7:14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
7:15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.
7:16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
7:17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
7:20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Tuesday devotion Ephesians 6:10-20
6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Monday devotion was based on 1 Peter 5
5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Sunday devotion was based on Luke 10(whole Chapter)
10:1 After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Luke 10:4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.10:1 After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.10:5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.10:6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.10:7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.10:8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.10:10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,10:11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.10:12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for S***m, than for that city.10:13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.10:15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.10:14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.10:16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.10:24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.10:26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?10:29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?10:30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.10:31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.10:32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.10:35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.10:36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Today we’ll have sessions 5 & 6. We will begin with session 5 at 14:30hrs.
An overview of the lessons is presented live on Facebook in at most 15minutes.
Then the rest of the coursework is uploaded to Google Classrooms.
If you are still unable to access the platforms mentioned then please let us know here or via direct message to my line and we will have technical support attend to you promptly.
I hope today is the day we begin to be interactive on this platform. Please encourage our efforts by saying something... anything.
Good morning Pathfinders and parents.
Covid-19 has posed some serious challenges to our meetings and learning the curriculum and honors.
If the pandemic lingers on for a few more months; we would have completely missed out on all that we must learn and more importantly on an opportunity to learn more about Christ our saviour.
In order for us not to miss out completely; our leaders came up with the idea of using social media because there’s at least a phone in each home.
We have so far done four sessions of lessons. But the biggest challenge we have faced is the lack of feedback. We have had no chance of knowing whether our children watched the tutorials so far or whether they understood them all.
We can only know if the objectives of the lessons have been met when there’s interaction.
And on that note I, on behalf of all of us leaders and Instructors plead for your participation.
Guide Class has the oldest crop of pathfinders who are mostly in grade 10.
Parents please help us help you. This also provides you an opportunity to be able to see everything your child is learning and be able to give parental guidance along the way.
Please do not wait to first see others participate before you also do. You all have equal rights to participate.
God bless you all without reservation.

AY LEGION OF HONOR
The AY Legion of Honor is a code to which Adventist youth can voluntarily subscribe, and thus pledge to answer Christ’s call and honor him as they agree to live by the lofty standards of the following covenant:
I volunteer now to join the AY Legion of Honor and by the grace and power of God I will:
Honor Christ in that which I choose to BEHOLD- meaning I will close my eyes to frivolous and sinful things.
Honor Christ in that to which I choose to LISTEN- meaning my ears are the Lord’s, and I will not listen to the subtle reasoning of the enemy.
Honor Christ in the choice of PLACES TO WHICH I GO- meaning I will devote my time and my thoughts to acquiring a fitness for God’s service.
Honor Christ in the choice of ASSOCIATES- meaning I will not spend precious moments in reading that which will be of no profit to me, and which only unfits me to be of service to others.
Honor Christ in that which I choose to SPEAK- meaning my voice shall not in any way be subject to a will that is not under the influence of the Spirit of God.
Honor Christ in the CARE I GIVE MY BODY TEMPLE- meaning my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and every power of my being shall be consecrated to worthy pursuits.
Let us apply these in Our Daily Lives.
