As the IEEE UNZA Student Branch, we participated in commemorating IEEE Day, the anniversary of the first time IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas, which occurred in 1884. "The theme of IEEE Day is now etched in its essence: "Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow." While the rest of the world benefits from what's new, IEEE focuses on what's next."

Industrial Tour Highlights
The first tour we have had as a student branch for this year was the tour of the KK International Airport in Lusaka. The Students had amazing experiences by being guided through the operations and controls of the place. More tours are coming our way as we proceed this year.

Highlights from the successful meeting yesterday on the Career Expo Session with Zambia Renewable Energy Association (ZARENA).

Join us tomorrow as we host Zambia Renewable Energy Association(ZARENA) for an interactive Career Expo Session. Come and learn more about the roles that Civil and Environmental Engineers, Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Geomatic Engineers, Agricultural Engineers, Computer Scientists, and many more other professionals play in the renewable energy sector. The event is open to all the students. The event will be on the 18th of May 2022(Wednesday), NLR2 School of engineering, from 17hrs to 18:30hrs.

Join Us this Evening as we dive deep into yet another interesting discipline of technology- Data Science. We are going to be joined by two experts from the industry as they share with us their journey and how others can get into this field. This and many more to be discussed

Highlights from Last week's meetup where we looked at Drones and their use cases. We were joined by Engineer Chitula Lukonde who carried the session through and narrated how he has been working with drones.
