Our client, the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) in the Capital Markets industry seeks to employ a competent and qualified individual for the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Main Purpose of Job: To oversee the supervision of LuSE operations and ensure adherence of all transactions, processes and procedures to the laws, rules and regulations in leading the capital market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the operations of LuSE and the Lusaka Clearing and Settlement Agency (LCSA) to maintain an orderly market that is fair, efficient, liquid and transparent;
• Formulating and managing implementation of strategic and operational plans;
• Developing Strategies to stimulate primary and secondary market activity in equities and bonds in a quest to enhance the Zambian capital market;
• Developing and overseeing the financial strategy of LuSE and the LCSA as a business to enhance shareholder value;
• Enforcing and continuously monitoring of compliance with the Rules of the Exchange, Listings Rules and Central Share Depository (CSD) Rules;

• Marketing and promoting the Zambian capital market in a quest to increase domestic and foreign investor participation;
• Supervising the trading activities in the Exchange and Trading Systems, the clearing and settlement of trades executed on the Exchange, and to take all necessary steps to maintain orderly and efficient trading and;
• Performing other functions as outlined in the Rules of the Exchange and Board Charter.

PAYROLL SUPERVISOR
Main Purpose of Job: Process the Bank’s payroll, remitting payroll taxes and government reporting as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements in a timely and accurate manner. Ensuring compliance with government regulations, carefully applying payroll related policies and ensure reconciliation of all payrolls related general ledgers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be the primary contact between Finance and HR for payroll processing and work closely with the HR team to ensure that payroll inputs are provided timely and are complete and accurate;
• Load payroll inputs received from the Human Capital Department into the payroll system, run calculations and produce reports for review by the HR team and supervisor;
• Publish pay slips timely to ensure employees can countercheck the amounts received;
• Prepare payroll payment reports for submission to the payments team for payment processing once reviews are completed and signed off;
• Carry out processing of salaries and wages for staff to facilitate timely and accurate payment which involves posting to individual accounts;
• Ensure changes to master data (e.g., salary adjustments, PAYE tables, NAPSA ceiling etc.) are made timely and accurately to ensure accurate calculation of payroll and statutory deductions;
• Prepare and lodge statutory returns and payments (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA etc.) and ensure that payments are confirmed received no later than on the due dates;
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of all payroll’s general ledger accounts;
• Maintain proper payroll accounting records for filing and easy retrieval of information and ensure that all monthly payroll input documents, payment vouchers, printed reports, and related documents, are properly recorded to facilitate internal and external audits;
• Be the primary point of contact for all audits relating to payroll and provide schedules and supporting documents requested for by the auditors;
• Attend to and resolves all queries related to salaries, wages, loans and advances;
• Extract payroll journals, review and post into accounting system and prepare reconciliations for all payroll accounts;
• Be the primary point of contact for interactions with relevant statutory stakeholders such as NAPSA and NHIMA;
• Identify skills gaps of junior staff in the department and trains them or recommends training programs to bridge the gaps and;
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by superiors

OFFICER PAYROLL PROCESSING
Main Purpose of Job: Provide support to the payroll supervisor, to ensure that the Bank’s payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures that all staff applicable taxes such as PAYE and levies are collected and charged correctly and reconcile all payroll related general ledgers.

JOB OPENING - BANK DIGITAL SALES AGENTS
Aptitude Tests and Interviews for Digital Sales Promoters (DSAs) in Kafue, Siavonga, and Chirundu Districts
Laura & Partners Consulting Limited (LPCL) will be conducting aptitude tests and interviews in order to identify competent Grade 12 School Leavers who can be employed as Digital Sales Agents (DSAs) in Kafue, Siavonga and Chirundu towns of Zambia. This is in order for LPCL to support its client firm to promote its banking services and products in each respective town.
For Kafue Town, the date for aptitude testing will be Wednesday 9th November 2022 at 10:00 hours. Interviews for successful candidates will follow at 11:00 hours on the same day.
For Siavonga and Chirundu Towns, the date for aptitude testing will be Tuesday 15th November 2022 at 10:00 hours. Interviews for successful candidates will follow at 11:00 hours on the same day.
Job Summary:
DSAs will report individually and severally to the Managing Partner through the Project Manager. Each DSA will be responsible for opening a number of bank accounts per month in any of the above towns according to the quality criteria of accounts as defined by the Bank.
Specific duties of Digital Sales Promoters will entail opening bank accounts as follows:
• Fully opened – (account number generated) and mobile Banking Activated;
• Compliant on KYC (Clear photos, be present and in possession of original, Valid and Verified;
• Verified and Valid mobile number);
• Prescribed Initial Deposit; and
• Initial Income generating Transaction.
Key Attributes and Skills of DSAs
i. Applicants must be domiciled in the town of choice (i.e. must be resident in Kafue, Siavonga, or Chirundu);
ii. Proven personal integrity to work for a bank/financial institution;
iii. Ability and temperament to work with details and time pressure;
iv. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both in English and in primary local languages of the town of choice (i.e. Chitonga, Chinyanja, Goba, etc.);
v. Ability to originate quality customers (i.e. find quality customers);
vi. A passion for interacting with various classes of people;
vii. Demonstrable skills to use a smart phone to plan, manage, and coordinate multiple activities over a sustained period of time.
Qualifications & Experience
i. Grade 12 certificate;
ii. Proven experience of networking and interpersonal skills to convince potential customers;
iii. Proven experience of ability to interact with quality customers and sustain conversations with such;
iv. Proven experience of working with difficult customers;
