Every day, thousands of people flee their homes in search of a better life for their families. UMCOR provides support for refugees and migrants around the world, seeking to fulfill the biblical mandates to “love thy neighbor” and “welcome the stranger.”

The Mustard Seed Migration Grant program allows UMC churches to help "welcome strangers" in their own communities in a variety of creative ways. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response so far, the application deadline has been extended to Nov. 1. With a deep and sorrowful heart, we announce the passing on of Rev.Fr Abiud Shemweta of the Anglican Church, Tanga Dioceses. He was among the people who contributed to formation of the program of expanding TEE work in prisons which so far exist in Zambia and Kenya. With his commitment and efforts, we just concluded the first ever AATEEA training of Theological Education by Extension (TEE) tutors to work in prisons.
