The Tusk Conservation Awards recognise the inspiring work of the remarkable people at the front lines of conservation in Africa. We are honoured to have been invited to partner with to create the awards presented by their Royal Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales.

We would like to make special mention of Jealous Mpofu, a fellow Zimbabwean, who was the recipient of the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award.

Jealous monitors five families of wild dog, with a combined territory of more than 3000 square kilometers across Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Since joining Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) in March 1997, he has played a pivotal role in supporting and protecting these fascinating creatures. Jealous knows each dog under his care by sight and name and has dedicated his life to their survival.
