Think Big!
Today’s Inspiration is that you do not only focus on today but you think about the future. Have you noticed that we are reading books written in the past, sitting and eating at restaurants built years back, attaining degrees at universities built decades ago, driving cars designed and manufactured by people whom some are retired, sitting in shades and eating fruits from trees planted by our parents and grandparents. But, my question is what are we doing for the future? What are we planting, building, manufacturing for our dear children and children’s children?
Don’t be engulfed in today’s problems and pleasures. It’s never about us, it’s about those coming after us and the best people to start preparing for their future is you and me. And the best time was yesterday but the second best time is today.
So, let’s build a Good future for us, our children and our children’s children today.
A letter to the members of JCI City Zimbabwe JCI City (Zimbabwe)
*Keeping the eye on the ball this election season.*
What’s your favorite sport? Whichever answer you gave, there is one thing in common to all the ball games sports that is “players need to keep the eye on the ball”.
Junior Chamber International is an extremely amazing organization which has been solving problems, developing leaders and changing lives. An organization with robust structures, excellent standards and unique tools to develop leaders for a changing world. An organization with a vision and mission second to none.
What’s my point here, for JCI City Zimbabwe you wouldn’t want to put the wrong Chief Operating Officer in the office because there is already a right candidate and it’s non other than yours truly.
Friends, I am committed to seeing all of you master the four areas of opportunities in equal measure. A mandate I will be able to achieve working together with your Vice Presidents. I am committed to seeing you becoming multimillionaire business leaders, CEOs and COOs, philanthropists, advocates, etc. It might not happen in the year, but we are going to create a strong foundation that will make it possible. I am committed to seeing JCI City back to its good old days with membership in hundreds, doing classy meetings and members deriving undebatable value and getting the best experience of their lives.
In conclusion, keep your eyes on the ball people, vote for an EVP who delivers all that you greatly desire.
With this, please members of the general assembly. I ask for your vote this coming Saturday.
Vote Joram Uncle Joe for 2024 Executive Vice President
Delayed post.
For 24 years the Sun has been rising and I am very grateful to Jehovah. I am so excited with the life I have lived thus far.
What fascinates me more is my present life, and the future. Its bright, its full of positivity.
This day I challenge myself in one of the areas which I am passionate about: Education. I have seen the misery associated with students failing in their studies(primary level to tertiary). How it affects guardians or the individual who will have failed. How some of them are landing on drugs, child marriages and unethical lifestyles. Besides having authored a book about to come, I challenge myself to think this through and take a step to contribute in any way possible. A challenge for the next 5 years.
“Be so good they can’t ignore you” Dr. Myles munroe
I want to be so good they can’t ignore me.
I want to write books around education, career guidance, parenting, character building, life, leadership. Do seminars, workshops, trainings around the globe.
So many of these to an extent they will not be able to ignore my expertise. So help me God.

Thank you Samuel Takudzwa Nehumba
Our conversation today on preparing for my next JCI office helped me repent of some attitude and mentality. As we were going through the manifestos other officers did before including yours. A question came through in my mind. WHY WOULD THESE PEOPLE PUT SO MUCH EFFORT? WHAT WOULD THEY GET IN RETURN? And from experience they did not get any money or gifts but they cultivated these three things which I now adopt in my life now going forward:
1. A habit of excellence. Whether paid or not paid i will do due diligence to the things i do in order to be an excellent person. I shall be associated with excellence all my life.
2. A heart to serve. For more than 100 times I have recited the JCI creed line “service to humanity is the best work of life“. But I had not related to it at personal level. I am glad I just did today. Greatness through service.
3. Embracing self discovery. We will never discover our truest potential until we are exposed to opportunities like that JCI offers. Though I might not get remuneration discovering my passions, capabilities, weaknesses and purpose is a priceless opportunity.
A note to my friends there, mentorship should not be taken lightly. With mentorship you will go far and achieve great success

Here we go again friends, being hungry to win is not enough. Asi putting in the hours and doing what those who win do.
Financial stability of a household with Gogo Chidamba
1. We had more than 5 income streams: your Sekuru's salary, my salary, money from growing maize, fish selling as we had a fridge before others, scones and tea selling, dovi selling we had a machine, broilers, jerseys selling - i had a skill of making uniform jerseys and your Sekuru helped in the selling
2. We budgeted money - we wrote the expenditure list vs our incomes. We always made sure to have a surplus
3. We had the habit of saving - we saved money for school fees at the bank. We made sure our children went to boarding schools for better education, values development and better exposure
4. How we built our good house in Harare - building was not easy however the strategy we had was we would gather building material first. During the holidays we would then work on the actual building with builders and us on the ground.
5. Who kept the money for day to day use - it was me the mother justified by the fact that i always did the buying especially for groceries, tucky, etc
6. Did you argue over what to spend money on - we did. But we would try to understand and listen to each other until we would do what sounded most reasonable. We would listen to each other fairly.
My gogo (sekuru is late) though not very rich i appreciate the wealthy they created. They managed to educate all their five children. They have three nicely built houses: in Harare, at the farm and Kumusha. They own a farm like mentioned with some infrastructures like bans, storerooms, windmill, water pumps, etc. They own a Nissan Atlas truck. They have a heard of cattle, a fowl run with a good number of road runners.
The thought that we have people who are in the 50s, 60s who i see now and have not been able to setup such generational wealth made me ask gogo to tell me their story.
After the interaction i asked gogo to pray for me that i can act on the knowledge she had shared. I also told her that its the information young people are attending seminars to hear. Where people are paying $20, $30, $50, $100 dollars.
Which topic would you want me to ask my gogo or any other wise person of age in the near future? Let me know

Bhuku rinonakidza iri. 😁😁😁 ndiri papeji 22, nyaya yaTofara.
A few minutes ago I was at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary education to inquire on book verification/endorsements. I then met Mr. Nyika from the projects and programs who asked me the question which I think most people have in their minds. "Tell me Vanopasa sei?" Upon saying my first line I got his order. I had responded "The issue of passing starts from the attitude of the learner. There are certain disciplines and habits that makes learners pass". Then I was stopped!

God asked, what do you want youngman? "I said Strength and Wisdom".
It was a honor to get this recognition from an organization full of young leaders. I thank God for strength, wisdom and his Grace.
Wow! Did Jaco say youths are as valuable as gold?
Ideation and Design workshop 2023
I had an extremely amazing experience at this workshop. I am part of the 2023 Accountability lab cohort. The lab is serious about accountability and integrity issues with regards to governance. I am founder for Dots Connectors a game changer initiative that seeks to accelerate youth participation in marginalized areas of Mvurwi. Through the initiative we seek to achieve a desirable community with peace and abundance of resources, shelter, good infrastructure, youth policy makers and youth leadership.
My takeaway from the workshop is that a leader listens to people and that true leadership is dis-empowering self and empowering the followers
The 2022 National O'level passrate sits at 23.96%. Less than a quarter passed! Should we sit back and relax? ...It's the reason we have Vanopasa Sei (Please do save for a copy. Place your order)
