The Champions of Harare

Explosive Sunday.

The 2024 Harare Province Junior Football Development League is upon us. The academy enjoyed a very successful 2023 season, finishing first in the U14 and U16 age groups, then second in the U18 category.
The academy scooped the U18 tournament and the U16 tournament and got bronze at U14. As a result, we shall be playing in the Champion of Champions season opener against winners in the other group. Our U14 and U16 teams shall be taking part in the Ultimate Games. We look forward to great performances from the lads.
Besides local games, the U15 and U17 teams travelled to Arusha, Tanzania to participate in the Chipkizi East Africa Cup. Both teams played well and showcased Zimbabwe talent in East Africa. One Tariso Muzvowa was scouted to participate at the Rey Cup in Iceland, this July. We wish him well.
Owing to the performances of our players and academy, Coach Norman Edward Taruvinga was named coach for the Zimbabwe U15 CAF SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS boys team. The team attained bronze at their maiden appearance, also taking the prestigious Fair Play Award including providing the Tournament's Top Goalscorer in Elshaddai Sadomba of St John's College and Golden Eagles Academy, while Captain Tadiwa Chakuchichi of St John's College and Legends Academy got 3 player of the match awards. Both qualified for the Tournament's best 11 team. Our own Darrel Zulu made 5 national team caps and had 2 assists, the second one is what got us bronze in the 3rd place play off against Namibia. Zimbabwe won 1-0. Darrel learns at Rusununguko ZIMFEP School.

In this regard we are anticipating an exciting season ahead. The academy therefore calls upon anyone who desires to associate with such success, discipline, dedication and commitment, as a kit sponsor for a nominal fee, to get in touch as we look forward to giving the boys a professional appearance.



Meanwhile, the academy is rebranding. Therefore, we say,
