✴️ Seed Cycling involves incorporating different seeds throughout the different phases of your menstrual cycle 🔄
🛑 For sure, seed cycling does not replace any treatment or medicine and is not the solution for infertility, irregular periods or any other hormonal issue.. But it is an easy way to support hormone production in a natural way.
🌱Explanation
▶️ During the follicular phase, days 1-14, eat 1-2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds and freshly ground flax seeds. In this phase, estrogen increases and an egg starts to mature in preparation to ovulate.
Pumpkin and flax seeds can help naturally increase estrogen. They also provide fiber to help support estrogen metabolism. Flax seeds contain lignans, which the body uses to bind to excess estrogen so it can be eliminated from the body. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, a building block nutrient for healthy hormones.
▶️ During the luteal phase, days 15-28, eat 1-2 tablespoons of sesame and sunflower seeds. In this phase, the corpus luteum produces progesterone and helps to thicken the uterine lining in preparation of a fertilized egg... Progesterone levels rise and peak during this phase; it can be responsible for symptoms such as bloating, mood swings, trouble sleeping... Sesame seeds contain lignans used to bind and eliminate excess estrogen. Sunflower seeds are high in selenium, a building block nutrient for healthy hormones.

🍀As I always say, it’s a great thing to have a list (& of course the ingredients) of some healthy snacks in hand when craving hits.
Here’s another ideas; let me know which one do you prefer:
1️⃣ Apple slices with peanut butter: a combination of complex carbs, protein & healthy fats. It’s a great one if u’re dealing with a sweet craving or feeling hungry before bedtime.
✅ Buy organic peanut butter when possible and make sure it contains only peanuts and maybe a bit of salt.
2️⃣ Avocado Toast: You can use sour dough wholewheat bread or gluten-free bread. A great combination of healthy fats & complex carbs. You can add a bit of feta or mozzarella cheese

4️⃣ Veggies with Zaatar & Labne dip: I love savory snacks and this is one of my favorites. You can add some seed crackers or a piece of gluten-free bread.

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the most common herbicide (or weed-killer) used in crop. It was first used in the United States in 1974 and now, we can say that glyphosate is literally everywhere: in our soil, air, water, foods and no doubt in our bodies.
Even if we eat organic food, the chances are still high that we’re consuming glyphosate.

- 1/2 cup of caramelized walnuts (I use one teaspoon of organic maple syrup)- جوز كرمليزد
- 1/2 cup of crumbled Feta cheese or goat cheese- جبنة الفيتا أو الماعز
Dressing
- 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil- زيت زيتون
- 3 tbsp of Grapefruit juice (you can squeeze the membrane to extract juice or use 2 slices). If the grapefruit juice is not enough you can add sone Apple cedar Vinegar- عصير الجريب فروت أو خل التفاح
- 1 tsp of Organic Honey- عسل عضوي
- Salt & Pepper to taste- ملح و بهار
