What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It begins upon the visual sighting of the last full moon of the year and lasts 29 or 30 days.

Why do muslims fast?
Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of the religion of Islam and one of the highest forms of Islamic worship. Abstinence from Earthly pleasures and curbing evil intentions and desires is regarded as an act of obedience and submission to God as well as an atonement for sins, errors, and mistakes.

Do's:
• Respect the culture and traditions of U.A.E
• Listen to music quietly through headphones if you wish.
• Show your respect towards those who are fasting, and check if someone is abstaining before offering food.

Dont's:
• Don’t eat, drink, or smoke in public during the Holy Month.
• Don’t play loud music as it may offend those who are fasting.
• Don’t wear revealing or tight clothes during the month of Ramadan and dress conservatively when in public.

Student Council's top priority is to bring the community together through quality time and fun, which is why we're inviting all students to our Game night! Come on over to the auditorium and watch your friends engage in playful battles, or take part yourself!

The F&B team put a lot of effort to put together this marvelous edible rose bouquet! Find your order forms at the library and the cafetaria! Due dates are 12th of Feb, and will be delivered to you on the 14th along with the roses!

Want to surprise someone? The F&B Team will be delivering HAND-MADE AND EDIBLE Rose Bouquets on the 14th of Feb!

The bouquet consists of hand crafted rose sugar fondant, caramel and chocolate fudge, Valrhona chocolate-coated strawberries.

Orders must be completed by 12th of Feb at 11 AM, and will be delivered to you on the 14th along with the roses! Order forms will be located in the library and the Cafeteria.

Also, the first 10 to make their order will be given the right to request a song to be played by DJ Ahmad Dabbagh During our Valentines Dance! Please email him at [email protected] for your song request!

As an initiative to add to the F&B offerings in our academy, Yumtingz Food Truck (Remember them from last October's welcome back barbecue?) will be visiting us on the 12th and 14th of February from 1100-1500! They will be selling fresh burgers, salads, fries, and mocktails.

Come next week and see for your self!

Details are out! Valentine's Dance at the auditorium with entrance donation of AED 5. On top of that, Clave De Crunk will be leading a waltz and salsa session for extra fun! Attire will be semi formal, so dress up like you would on a typical Thursday Night! See you there in a week!

Our annual Valentine's Rose sales are coming up!
The donation boxes will be positioned across campus along with order forms. To order roses, people just need to fill the form with the attached money and put it in the boxes.
The deadline is February 10!

To all love birds who were planning something special for Valentine's Day: Student Council is planning a special event on February 14! Valentine's Dance! More details will be coming soon.
Mean while, circle your calendars and find your dance partner!

From Student Council Events to regional competitions, our food & beverage team has been taking the initiative to take part in various activities. Made by students and led by students, the team is open to volunteers, but more importantly, fun!

新年快乐！Our Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration takes place TOMORROW Monday at Phase II Courtyard from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Come and enjoy some of our authentic Chinese bites and fun games waiting for you!
