The book No Archive Will Restore You has been a great influence and a resource to construct this exhibition.
The show focuses on diverse practices from emerging, mid-career and established artists from Global South and its diaspora. The exhibit rather poses itself as a question on the nuances of hearkening within the interior and outer landscapes of the body. It draws attention to how sound can be seen through visuals. Sound with material agency, sound of the political news, sound of the serene sky whilst also sound of the decaying body. The exhibition also poses questions about how do we perceive the sound of the unnumbered, can a certain gaze carry noise and how do we see the reverberation of our mental thoughts?
