Hey guys, we have just completed a (almost) full terrain audit. And we had a bit more than we thought. So we have opened up another 5 more slots in BCP, first in best dressed.

Just an update on 2 things

If you ask a question that is already in the FAQ your penance shall be buying 1 beer for each of the TOs.

Secondly battle ready

We were lenient last year with battle ready due to a change in rules a week prior. We aren’t expecting a rules change to be in place for uprising this year, meaning there will be zero tolerance for non battle ready. We will have paints and brushes available as usual and you will be welcome to paint between rounds etc to get battle ready.

Remember battle ready isn’t 3 colours. Battle ready is looks finished and ready to go. You have been warned. Battle ready checks will occur in the first round. Anyone told they are not battle ready who is found to be scoring themselves with battle ready for ANY reason will be given and yellow card and -15pts

Just an update on ticket numbers guys.

We had initially intended to sell to 320 players.

Initial ticket sales hovered around the 240 mark and after the cancellation window closed we were sitting sub 200. In the last week we have sold another 20+ tickets and have had to make the decision to cap sales at around 220 players and have had a dozen or more asking for tickets

The reason we had the cancellation window pushed out was so we knew the numbers at an early date and could accomodate with number of tables of terrain. When we only had sub 200 at cancellation window we didn’t need to make any further terrain and instead could focus on things like sealing windows on existing terrain etc.

Would we have preferred 250 or even 300 players? Yes. But when people leave their ticket buying to the last minute and we are unable to build 30+ tables of terrain in a 6 week period it’s less than ideal.

A lesson for everyone here, we should have communicated clearer on why ticket sales were open earlier and people shouldn’t wait till the last minute to try and grab tickets.

Just an update for everyone.

We have made the decision to go through and seal up the ground floor of ALL of our ruins. Meaning every table will have ground floor LoS blocking at Uprising.

Big shout out to our Aussie representatives at the 40k World Champs in Atlanta Lachlan Rigg and Liam Hackett!
Liam went 6-2, missing out on the top bracket by 1 point in a necron mirror in game 5. He then ran into Jack Templars, who had the answers for necron warriors.
Meanwhile the big Rigg made top cut and looks to have finished 3rd. Only losing to Mani Cheema and John Lennon who are 1st and 2nd.

A great showing from some top blokes, well done doing us all proud and representing Aussie 40k.

Alright guys,

It’s been a bit quiet on the Uprising front but we’ve been waiting for the meta to settle and sort out our terrain concepts etc.

Now that the cancellation date has passed we have approx 200 players (plenty of last minute cancellations as always) locked in so still plenty of tickets available for anyone who has been sitting on the fence.

We will open up FAQ submissions heading into December.

Terrain, we will still be using approximations of the GW layouts with acrylic bases on all the terrain pieces to define the foot print. More updates will come in the next few weeks on terrain as we’re just nailing down the last few things.

This year we will have a stream table set up.

Food trucks are returning, additional toilets are being sourced so we’re moving forward full steam ahead!

Ticket sales are still coming in, we’ve sold over 2/3 of the available tickets so still plenty available.

If you are considering coming I would get on it asap as tickets won’t last forever.

With return players purchasing tickets over the last 24 hours we have already sold almost 2/3 of our available tickets so there is limited numbers left so if you are thinking of attending please get in quickly!

Best Coast Pairings Best Coast Pairings: Competitive events, made easier

For last years attendees, you will receive an email this evening with ticketing details.

This gives you 24hrs early access so you can guarantee your spot before we go wide to general public.

Players Pack for 2024 is now Live. General Ticketing will Open at 6pm (AEDT) Wednesday the 9th August 2023.

Last year uprising sold over 250 tickets in under 24 hours, and whilst we have increased capacity this year we fully anticipate another sell out event, to ensure you do not miss out please buy your ticket ASAP.

2023 attendees will receive an email invite 24 hours prior to main ticketing with a link to the tickets. This will provide them with opportunity to get a guaranteed spot in what is sure to be a sold out event.

Dates have been Confirmed for 2024, the event will take place over the Australia Day weekend Friday 26, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January at the Turramurra Recreation centre (same location as 2023)

Today it become’s official, Uprising:Adelaide is no longer Australias Largest competitive 40K event!

As of Today we are officially the largest Warhammer 40k event in Australia. Period. Full stop.

Firstly a huge thank you to head judge Josh Diffey, who was essential for his event support and making those tough calls. If you haven’t got a sub to Best Coast Pairings get amongst it, it’s a great way to access all the lists for all events and support the great work he does. As well as bringing the Oceanic Champions Circuit to Uprising.

For his assistance with service, being such a large event he was instrumental in ensure the lads were well watered.

Where can we eat near the venue?

We have arranged for these delicious food trucks to be onsite so you only need to walk just outside the door for lunch.
They will be at the venue each day from 11:30am

There is also the pub across the road if you are something more sit down and we should have QR ordering for their $15 menu.

If you notice an error with a players list, please message the player and discuss. as we said minor corrections etc can be fixed. The player can then come to us to discuss changes. We dont want to be double or triple handling every error.
