St Andrews By The Sea Uniting Church celebrated Shrove Tuesday by having a pancake day outside of the church on Jetty Road.

The pancakes were delicious and the day helped raise funds for their emergency relief centre. 🥞

What a great Pancake Day event this morning at the Synod office in Pirie Street. Thanks to all that helped out in making the morning so successful. Shrove Tuesday as 'Pancake Day' provides a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy delicious food and contribute to a meaningful cause. This year's theme of 'Flipping for a Cause' will help to raise funds for those in need. If you are interested in hosting a Pancake Day event you can register at this link: https://sa.uca.org.au/unitingcare-sa/support-unitingcare/. If you can't host a Pancake Day event then you might like to consider making a donation. If you have a preference on a specific Emergency Relief Centre you can also donate your proceeds there or UnitingCare will distribute donations evenly across its Emergency Relief Centres. It's heartwarming to hear about the generosity and kindness of the congregation at Belair Uniting Church. Their donations of food for UnitingCare's Emergency Relief Centre in North Adelaide will undoubtedly make a significant impact on those who are facing challenges in making ends meet.

Additionally, the dedication of the team from Wrap with Love at Belair Uniting Church in knitting blankets for UnitingCare Emergency Relief Centres is truly admirable.
These blankets not only provide physical warmth but also offer a sense of comfort and care to those who are experiencing homelessness.

The ongoing support and beautiful donations from Wrap with Love showcase the compassionate spirit of the community, and it's clear that their efforts are making a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Pancake Day is here! Thanks to the many groups which have already held fundraising events for UnitingCare in South Australia.
Even though Shrove Tuesday is the official Pancake Day, fundraising events can be held any time up to Easter.
Funds raised support UnitingCare emergency relief centres and community service organisations which provide much needed assistance to people who rely on their services.
