Our Junior School students breathed life into their favourite characters at this morning's Book Week Parade around Campus.

It's a busy week on Campus, with Book Week and Intercol.

We've started celebrating the wonder of books on Pyjama Day!

From discovering the next adventure to exploring new worlds, there’s no better way to immerse yourself in the joy of reading, than in your comfy PJs!

And that's a wrap... or is it 'bend and snap'... on our College Musical - Legally Blonde Jr!

There was as much pink in the foyer as there was on stage - and guests had as much fun as the cast and crew!

All eyes will soon be on Paris as the 2024 Olympics begin.

We’re so thrilled to see Old Scholars Isobel Borlase (2022) and Olivia Sandery (2020) make their Olympic debut with the Australian Olympic Team.

As a former McAuley House member, Isobel left Mercedes College in 2021 to join the AIS Basketball Centre of Excellence which has seen her career skyrocket, recently being drafted by Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. Now she has her sights set on Paris with the Opals.

Oliva, our 2020 Fitzpatrick House Captain has had an extensive athletics career starting when she was a Junior with Magill Little Athletics Centre. She recently placed fifth in the 2022 World Race Walking Teams Championships in Oman and will soon be setting out from the Trocadero, Paris in the Women’s 20km Race Walk.

We wish Isobel and Olivia the best of luck!

During the mid-year holidays, 40 of our Year 11 students spent a week at Mount Hotham for our Snow Trip.

This annual trip has become an iconic part of Mercedes College life, as students forge new friendships and learn different life skills, before starting their final year of school.

A great time was had by all, on and off the slopes - and their advice to our Year 10 students thinking about going next year? "Do it, you won't regret it!"

We love seeing our students get inspired by Digital Technology – well done all!

Today was the ever popular ‘Beanie Day’ 🧶

Thank you for all our students who brought a gold coin to support the Vinnies Winter Appeal, to help support homelessness in South Australia.

This Vinnies Appeal provides food and warmth to those in need this Winter, so if you'd like to donate non-perishable food items or warm blankets, please drop them to our Strathspey House Reception.

Congratulations to Year 11 Student Alex (McAuley), for being selected to represent School Sport SA at the School Sport Australia 16 Years and Under Boys Football (Soccer) Championship.

Alex will head to Perth in August to play in the National Championship.

Year 2 student Emma sat in the Principal’s chair today after writing a letter to Andrew Balkwill, as part of a letter writing task…

She shared her love of Mercedes College and asked Mr Balkwill a few questions about his role as Principal – the most important of which was 'Will you say hello to me next time you see me in the yard? That will show the Mercy Key of Mutual Respect' Well said Emma!

Emma also mentioned how Mercedes College will celebrate 80 years when she is in Year 12!

Our Year 5s recently collaborated with local artist in residence, Lucinda Penn, creating a mural celebrating 70 Years of Mercedes College.

The design incorporates the Mercedes College colours, and the six Mercy Keys 'watering the world' - a fitting analogy for our College values.

As part of Catholic Education Week, our Junior School students, joined by our College Captains, took to the Pavilion with chalk to express what they love about Mercedes College…

They shared expressions of friendship, our Mercy Keys, as well as the red door of Mercy, a giant Fleur de Lis, and even self-portraits.

We can’t stop thinking about last week’s sold out Mother’s Day lunch at Carrick Hill, hosted by our Deputy Principal, Narelle Sandercock…

It was a glorious day and the perfect way to celebrate our Mercedes College mums!
