The ARC Campbelltown

🔴 Good news 👏

ARC members and general users will be able to use the rear door to access the ARC via a flat surface. This will help people who are recovering from an injury, those who have difficulty using stairs or people with a number of very young children.

This is a six-month trial initiative to assist mobility challenged users who need access to a ground level carpark but are not eligible for a Disability Parking Permit.

Council will also continue to investigate access options from the level 1 carpark.

🌊 Learn to Swim Enrolments – Children Under 5 🌊

We are excited to announce that enrolments for children under 5 years old will open Monday 5 August at 9:30 am! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Spaces are available in all Under 5 levels, with most classes taking place on weekday mornings and afternoons.

🔴 The ARC is going blue for World Drowning Prevention Day 🔵

Today is World Drowning Prevention Day. Drowning is one of the leading causes of death globally for children and young people and every year nearly a quarter of a million people lose their lives to drowning, and almost 82 000 of them are children aged 1 to 14 years.

In Australia, hundreds of families lose loved ones to drowning every year.

The ARC supports the WATCH AROUND WATER program and follows their pool supervision guidelines.

Children under 5 must always be within arm’s reach at all times.
Children under 10 must be actively supervised.
Children under 14 need a parent/guardian to accompany them whilst accessing the pool.

Our pool area will be closing early Sunday 28 July at 4:00PM for staff training.
Staff training is essential to ensure our team is equipped with the skills to provide you with a safe, enjoyable experience.

📣 Attention all swimmers! As Winter approaches and the seasonal pools close, we anticipate increased activity at our pool. To ensure a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for everyone, please follow these lap lane etiquette guidelines:
▪️ Choose a lap lane that matches your skill, stroke, and speed.
▪️ Swim to the left side of the lane to allow smoother passing.
▪️ Please refrain from congregating at the end of lap lanes in groups.
▪️ If our staff asks you to switch lanes, kindly cooperate and be responsive.

The ARC Campbelltown: Online Services

Our well-loved Fit for Life and Mobilise classes will now all be 50 minutes long, (starting on the 8th of April 2024). This is to ensure our Gym Instructors and members do not risk overtraining, and we can provide to you the best service possible. The Fit for Life and Mobilise classes will still be starting at the same time as per the timetable.

The Gym Team are very excited to announce that we are adding a new Fit for Life fitness class to our Group Fitness Timetable, commencing next week!
This class, called Gentle Joints Fit for Life, is a gentler version of the Fit for Life class. This class incorporates low impact exercises and functional movements to be able to execute everyday activities trouble free and for injury prevention. This class is designed with our 65+ community in mind, as well as our Fit for Life members with/or recovering from injuries who want to get moving in a controlled and sensible way.
Gentle Joints Fit for Life will be running on Tuesdays at 8:30am, and Fridays at 11:30am in Studio One (downstairs studio). These Classes are 50 minutes long. Please book online via the ARC Member Portal.
