Good Morning from Ti Tree 🐍
Ti-Tree has nearby Pmara Jutunta (6 Mile), Willowra, Laramba (Napperby Station) and Alyuen which form what is today known as the Anmatyerre region. It has significant overlap with Warlpiri, Arrernte and Alyawarr language communities. Many people come from two or three different language groups. 📍

‘Tennant Creek Brio; Juparnta Ngattu Minyinypa iconocrisis’!
ACCA - Australian Centre for Contemporary Art
Aligned with the industrial scale of a turbine hall and mining headframe ACCA hosts a major new assemblage of works reflecting raw materiality of the now decommissioned Warrago mine on the outskirts of Tennant Creek on Warumangu country. Warrego is now mined by the Brio for their own resources and source material incorporating significant early, recent and new works that share and celebrate culture, harness the power and strength to collaboration and highlight a powerful critique on invasion, colonial extraction, capitalism and the subsequent social cultural and political complexities and negotiations that sten from this. After encountering the guardian angel UAP - Unidentified Aboriginal Phenomenon 2024 at the exhibition threshold the Gallery entrance is framed for two significant artworks by Brio members Jimmy Frank Juparrula and Joseph Williams Jungarayi.
Here, ancient methodologies and ancestors past and present converge with technologically given features or simultaneously drawing focus on the law of the land conveyed through a series of collaborative works and found objects that outline protocols while providing insight into the dynamic and diverse cultural contexts of Tennant Creek.

FOUND! Footage from my first 24 hrs in Marrakech.
From peaceful courtyard gardens, it’s mad city square, the deeply moving sound of my first Call to Prayer - it was BIG. I felt lost and small, confused and conflicted and incredibly inspired 🔥
2 places left on our April 2025 cook’s tour of Morocco - deposit required by Nov 6. So exciting 👏 🇲🇦

The fabulous home grown Nature Festival is on again! And I’m in it. Check out the program for heaps of cool, free, family orientated events 🎆
Nature Festival South Australia: 28 Sept - 13 Oct 2024 Over 400 events, encounters, and experiences to celebrate our love of nature in South Australia. Arts, Adventure, Food, Family, Wonder, Wellbeing, and Aboriginal Culture.
Day in the studio 🌸
‘Never short of a story’ features a ‘found’ 1897 Dog Registration Tag from the backroad of Burra (near Worlds End). Ngadjuri country.
At first I thought I had found an old coin!
This work is a ‘collection’ of nature made and ‘found’ objects in a terracotta ‘shelf’. I love it’s diversity and eclectic approach. I dreamt about making it for many years. You can also see a ‘found’ worn floor tile from a beach on Morocco’s west coast and a very elaborate wasp nest (wasp spit!). The vertebrae celebrates my 2016 successful microdiscectomy 🦴
n.weave ‘Multiplicity’ finishes Sept and is open 10 - 2 daily
