During the week of September 2nd-8th, Playgroup Australia will be collecting attendance data across the nation for all playgroups conducted within this timeframe.
During this Week, all playgroup attendees will be asked to complete the Census on arrival. A QR code will be provided which attendees can scan and fill out on the spot.
The questions families will be asked during the Census Week include:
• Which playgroup are you attending? (Include location, time, and day)
• How many children are attending with you today?
• Is this the first playgroup you have attended this week?
• What type of playgroup do you attend?
Please note – This census is focused solely on gathering data about attendance, the number of playgroups attended, and their locations. No personal or demographic information will be collected.
Thank you for your cooperation ☺️

In Mathematics, our Transition Receptions are learning about subitising. Subitising means to 'suddenly know' how many items are in a collection without having to count. The students were given some counters and were asked to arrange these into subitisable groups. This will assist our children in making organised mathematical recordings. Well done, Receptions!

In Reception, the students are focusing on the topic: mass and weight. We have learnt about the meaning of the terms 'light' and 'heavy'. We have made our own balancing scales to compare the weight of different objects around the classroom and justified why some objects may be light or heavy. 💪⚖️
