First few games in the USA are done! trinky119 and invaderscrim played 2 back-to-back friendly scrimmages with scrollerderby and california.derby.galaxy yesterday 🛼🥰 So great to meet new Derby pals and experience the US Derby community!

It's the end of the derby season! We are so sad to be packing away our checkerboard and blue for another year. To wrap up the year we wanted to end with a collection of the Roadies best faces from this year, we can't wait to see what expressions we get next year 💙🏁

It's one of our favourite Roadies birthdays! Scrim is an integral part of both the Roadies and the ADRD Ads, and we know we wouldn't be the same without them. Their cool, calm, collected spirit, as well as their ultra sexy toestop work leaves us in awe. Scrim is a force to be reckoned with on and off the track, and brings encouragement, kindness, and a kickass attitude to everything they do. We love you! 💙🏁🦆

Our Final Teamie for 2023 - #533 Crusher Ramone
Crusher by name, and Crusher by nature. You may have seen Crusher sending skaters flying last season - either opposition Jammers, or Blockers when she is doing some O for our Jammers - and she has been a Powerhouse on the Roadies for 8 years! Crusher is always there as the last line of defence, or to take the Star when our jammers just can't go on!

Last Jammer for Season 2023 - #420 Bionic Mayhem!
Just as the name suggests, Mayhem wreaks havoc on track! Blockers can't catch her, and sometimes it looks like even she doesn't know where she's headed next, but gosh darn it, it works! Mayhem is always down for a laugh, and is great at pumping up the team with her enthusiasm.

Next on the Jammer Line, it's #119 Trinket!
Trinks has been playing Derby for over a decade, and has become a fierce and skilled Jammer during that time. Able to find gaps through the pack like no other, Trinks is always bobbing and weaving around the track racking up big points! We love the passion and knowledge Trinket brings to the team

Lucky Last Freshie for 2023 in #289 Vamp Stamp!
Long-time fan of the Roadies, Vamps came to us after a few years off Derby and it feels like she has always been on the team! When she's not knocking Jammers on their butts, Vamps works as a Nurse with Roadie Jammer and good pal Trinket.

Another Newbie of 2023 is #077, Ziggy The Kid!
Ziggy always has a huge smile on her face, whether on or off the track, and loves the chaos of Roller Derby. Though she can be known to take the odd tumble, and have a good laugh about it 😂, Ziggy has been working hard as a blocker and knocked her fair share of Jammers down during the 2023 season.

Co-Captaining her 5th year as a Roadie in 2023, it's #000 Valkyrie V***n
Valks is known for her amazing, sneaky O on track and is always there to give our Jammers a way out of the pack. Off track, Valks is kind of the Team Mum, always prepared with bandaids, lollies, the skate tool you forgot to pack, and a kind, encouraging word. Despite her scary on-track make-up, Valks has a big heart and lots of love to give to the team.

Another Freshie Pal last Season, #17 Twitch E Sparrow!
School Librarian by day, Roller Skating Badass by night, Twitch has made herself at home in the Roadies and has been great at organising awesome team hangs! She is always ready to take on new challenges, and we love her tenacity on and off track!

Introducing #99 Thumperlina!
She may look cute, and she is, but Thumps is one tough-as-nails Blocker, really stepping into her own this year as a Brace and Mother Hen in her pack. Thumps is always there with a smile and a positive attitude, something we all love, especially on Game Day, though she's not afraid to put the opposition in their place with a good hit!

Another new face to the Roadies in 2023 - #93 Deadly Nightshade!
You probably saw Shady directing skaters whilst holding a clipboard and rocking a fabulous, handmade, Roadie-themed outfit. We were lucky to have Shady running our bench last season, helping us keep our sh*t together on and off track. She has been a great addition to the team, and her talent for DIY, whether it be costumes, bench decorations, or league-wide Events, is unparalleled!

We just had a wonderful weekend away at camp, and have some new friends to introduce for the 2024 season, but before we do that we need to finish our tour of the Team of '23!

Scrim has been a Roadie for 8 years and loooooves Jamming! You can see them jumping around on track trying to sneak past the opposition with fancy footwork.

Returning in 2023, it's #777 Russian Roulette ♠️
They don't come any fiercer than R***i! Whenever she's on track, R***i never takes her eye off the opposition - always ready to block, recycle, or bridge. She is a great addition to the team, and we love her enthusiasm and fiery determination. Jammers never know what they're gonna get against Russian Roulette 🔥

Up next, we have Vice Captain #468 Fortis Opal 💎
Like their name suggests, Opal is one strong blocker! They are often the last line of defence, facing off against Jammers and keeping them locked down, or swooping in to take the star when our Jammers get stuck; they sure are a good Pal to have on our team!

New to the team in 2023, we have #721 Lemony Kick-it!
Coming to us from MCRD, Kicks has brought her strategic thinking and quick wits, along with determination and strength, and made the Roadies her home. You would have seen her putting Jammers in their place on track, and working with her pack to disrupt the opposition. It's surely an unfortunate event for anyone going up against Kicks 💪

Next up we have #689 Fairy Dust 🧚‍♀️
Much like Tinker Bell, Dusty is sweet until she gets mad! When she is on track and blockers get in her way, you'll see Dusty whoosh by on her Twinkle Toes, scoring points and leaving blockers to eat her Fairy Dust!

First up we have #152 Brutiful
Now the longest serving Roadie on the team, Bruti has been trucking with us since 2013 😱
You may have seen Bruti sending Jammers flying during season games, one of their specialties, and we definitely love having them on track for their strength, but despite being fierce and deadly, Bruti is a big ol' Sweetheart! We hope she sticks around for another 10 years as we would be lost without her 🖤💙

We had a blast at the ‘Carnival’ themed awards night on the weekend!
Our pal Shady put the whole thing together and it was amazing 🎟️
Many awards were given and received, carnival games were played, and fairy floss was made 💗
