Happy New Year everyone!! I have the BEST NEWS.

Thanks to a grant from the Music Development Office - South Australia, the band and I are in the studio in just a few weeks. We are so excited!!

You can look forward to beautiful playing from Flik Freeman, Tom Kneebone, Beej Barker and Cameron Goodall, some epic engineering by Ryan Martin John Music, and a lot of general bossiness from me.

I am SO excited to be releasing new music. Love you guys!!

Hello loves,

Made my way on to Ballarat today and had a lovely afternoon at The North Star Hotel Ballarat finishing off lyrics. About to push on to Melbourne to do Friday-night-about-town things. You know, until 9pm.

Dragged my puffy, snotty, itchy, miserable self into a chemist this morning and mumbled "if it's possible to die from hay fever, then call an ambulance", but I am dosed up now and feeling much less sorry for myself. I know, I'm relieved too.

Hello petals!!

On my way to Melbourne for some songwriting and a cheeky little mid week show next Wednesday. As many of you know, I do love a solo road trip!

I’ve only made it about 110kms today however because I am miserable with hay fever, but the lovely barkeep here at the Coonalpyn Hotel just took pity on me and gave me some of his private antihistamine stash. Nawww.

Proper sad news from Adelaide today with the passing of Robert Dunstan.

He was THE music journalist to impress in the early days of The Audreys, so his support and encouragement was instrumental to our success. He went on to become a loyal and treasured friend.

The Adelaide music community has lost a big part of its DNA today. Rest easy Bob, you will be deeply missed and joyfully celebrated.

Tristan. It’s been a year since you left us. How could that be?

I dream about you all the time. We have amazing conversations. We go on incredible adventures. We write beautiful songs and play at amazing festivals. I often dream that you’ve been given extra time and we’re celebrating, but then I wake up and remember that we’re already out of time. Sometimes I’m really, really mad with you about that. Mostly I’m just paralysed with sadness. Every now and then though I wake up feeling joy and gratitude for having known you. I hope I feel that more as time passes.

I still spend time with you in my dreams, Tristan, and you’re still funny and wise and annoying and my best friend. I’m so glad I found you and you found me, and I’m so thankful for everything we did. It was really something, huh? F**k I miss you though.

I’m still playing our songs. Thank you so much for them. I will keep them safe for you. For us.

Wow! What a weekend. We’re back home in Adelaide after an amazing run of shows in Victoria. It was so wonderful to see all your faces and share stories, laugh, cry and sing together.

Tristan’s brother Cam joined us at all the shows, including one particularly special show at Northcote Social Club on May 5th, which would have been Tristan’s birthday. It was so special to have you all there to honour his memory.

Happy Easter Weekend everyone! Winter is settling in here in the Adelaide Hills, but that isn’t stopping us from getting out on the road again! Victoria, it's been almost a year. We are coming your way very soon in May - check out the dates below.
