Our purpose is to monitor and conserve woodland birds and their habitats on rural private properties.
Birds on Farms Southern NSW provides rural landholders and other participants with opportunities to be involved in the development of tailored habitat plans, regular bird monitoring surveys and site visits, training workshops and educational events, and access to partnerships and subsidies for on-ground works. This project has been assisted by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust and its Saving our Species Co-Investment Grants Program.

Yesterday was an exciting day for Landcare in the Murray and Murrumbidgee with the Launch of the second edition of the Riverina and South West Slopes Revegetation Guides and a new interactive website.
These guides have been a valuable tool for land restoration in our region for over 25 years. The updated versions bring together the collective experience of the best and most experienced practitioners from the Murray, Murrumbidgee and Riverina regions to modernise the guides to become a resource capable of directing revegetation practices for a future of carbon and environmental markets, global sustainability reporting and a changing climate.

Bridal creeper is a vine that smothers and outcompetes other plants, including threatened plant species in NSW. It also reduces food and habitat for native animals.
The shiny leaves are present in autumn and winter. Leaves are up to 7 cm long, oval with pointed tips and have veins running lengthways along the leaf.
Flowers are less than 1 cm wide, greenish-white and tubular with 6 petals that curve backwards. The small red berries are present in spring and early summer.
