We went to the Rutherglen show today and this horse never fails to impress me! It was her first proper outing and show and she did amazing! And also my first show out on one of my own horses!
I’m so thankful to everyone around me for helping me get to where I am! It was a lot of organising this last week and up to midnight plaiting and what not but it was worth it!!

UPDATE FOR 2024

I have been so over the moon with the response since reaching out about my interest in opening Arrow Hill Park as a riding school.
I always intended in opening when I was fully healed from my arm which I first believed was meant to be January 2024. Unfortunately nothing went my way and took a following 9 months to be told I’m good to go!

In that time frame I looked into many insurances, brokers, public liability and so on to make sure I had all the right resources in place before even thinking of opening.
I’ve had a lot of great people helping me along the way, offering to help me out when open, and so much support. But unfortunately with this I also had comments made about myself and that I shouldn’t be opening as I’m ’not as experienced and qualified as people that have actually put more money into themselves’. This really did set me back a bit and made me second guess myself having an instructing future.

So this is what I’d like to say,
For now, and the rest of the year I will be focusing on getting myself back into the saddle properly and getting all of my horses back into work.
Teaching people to ride has always been a dream of mine. I am not, and never claimed to be the best instructor or better than anyone else. What I am though? Is someone that wants to provide for others that can’t have a horse of their own, don’t have the opportunities to ride as often as others, and those that have lost confidence in themselves and need a quiet horse and some support. Which of all I can provide.
I do have a qualification in instructing purely just to have that bit of extra learning behind myself.
I have been riding for 20 years, I love the sport, and I love my horses more than anything. And all I would like to do is share that with anyone and everyone I possibly can!

Thank you for reading, I genuinely hope all the followers on my page will sit patiently with me while I figure out the best and most convenient way to open this riding school and in the mean time watch me and my horses become good again.

Only took 22 months but we’re back in the saddle! (Literally lol)

Been what feels like forever but I’ve been given the all clear to get back to riding! Now getting everyone back into work starts today!

Not a post I’d ever want to make about any of my horses.
But tonight I’ve sadly lost Sage.
The silly girl got stuck in a small shed where her both back legs splayed out on each side. We pulled her out thanks to many good mates. And she unfortunately just couldn’t get up.

She’s now in heaven with BB, and I hope she rests peacefully.
She really was something special and I wish I could have given her more.

Looking to possibly lease out my little stock horse to a family, confident rider or small adult.

Steve is a 8yo paint stock horse at 14.2hh

At the moment I can’t ride and my grounds are too wet to have someone ride him at home. I have a lot of horses here and not enough feed throughout winter!

Steve has very minimal education although he is a safe horse. He’s definitely a more woah than go as we’ve seen. He’s only had about 7 rides at home and he’s shown to be a smart horse. He can stop and slow down so he needs someone confident to ask him to move forward. He could definitely be used a lead horse also! He’s only left the property once for a ride down the road with a beginner rider off lead and was very good.

The dogs favourite time is every 6 weeks when the farrier shows up to clip some hooves just for them! And so patient too 🤣

Jax is looking the absolute best he ever has since he came home with me!!
Being a tb he’s always had good weight but always ribby!

It’s taken me years and years to find out the secret to keeping your horses happy, healthy and good weight 24/7! And I’m glad all my horses are happy and fat now!

Due to this though Jax has decided he’d like to be hot and show his real thoroughbred genes 🤣 he’s feeling great!

Absolutely over the moon today with Shabeel (Stella) at her very first competition doing dressage! She scored a 3rd and 5th with an overall 5th!

A lot of hard work goes into getting these horses comp ready and a big round of applause to everyone who attended.

Stella will always be the winner in my eyes and Jadzia Beagley did an absolutely great job in riding her and getting her ready!

Wishing Arrow Hill Parks rider Jadzia Beagley a big good luck for the weekend coming as she takes Stella out for her first competition!

Stella has been with me since October 2021 and it’s her time to shine!

Jadzia has been working hard here at AHP getting all the horses into work and show ready!

We will keep you all posted on how the two go together! Just them entering is already a win for me 🥰

After careful consideration, Angel is headed back to her previous owner to become a mum!
Angel unfortunately isn’t sound for a ridden life here at Arrow Hill Park but her lovely previous owner is happy to have her back and give her a life that’s more suited!

We will miss Angel very dearly as she’s such a beautiful soul and I made a good connection with her!

We wish her the best in her new adventure 🩷
