It’s all about me today 😀
I’ve been on my essential oil’s journey now for over 7 years and loving it. I haven’t been sick, I’ve had a sore throat and the sniffles over the years through winter but this year I actually came down with a cold and to be honest, I didn’t even feel sick, I went about my days without any major issues besides having to carry a tissue, my throat was extremely sore, I coughed it out, I sneezed it out and I blew it out😀.
💧 Every day I take 2 drops of onguard which is a protective blend and helps to support the immune system. With wild orange, clove bud, cinnamon leaf, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and rosemary oil.
💧I also take 2 drops of turmeric daily.
🍬The onguard throat drops have been amazing throughout my cold with the same essential oil’s but made with organic evaporated cane sugar and organic brown rice syrup .
💧Easy air (breathe) essential oil nightly in my diffuser in the bedroom , with Laurel leaf, eucalyptus leaf, peppermint, melaleuca (tea tree), citrus lemon, cardamom seed, cinnamon leaf and ravensara leaf oils. Yes my dogs sleep next to me, the room is well ventilated and they can leave if they want to but never do😀.
👃Then there’s the vapour stick, use just like you would Vicks but this is so much better.

My dear old red girl Jezzaar is showing signs of a urinary infection, these cold winters days she just wants to stay inside and hold on 🤣 not good for the kidneys. Also found a wet spot where she sleeps at night. She’s still her crazy happy self 😁
I’ve made a blend to support her with juniper berry and Copaiba following correct protocols and dilution rates and apply to her spine a few time daily. Also diffusing lemon as I have no cats in the house it’s safe to diffuse citrus.
💧 Juniper Berry properties include: antiseptic, cleanser, detoxifier. Historically used for cleansing infections and healing wounds, for relieving uti, for warding off kidney and bladder infections.

A general everyday ear cleanser blend of 50/50 -Apple Cider Vinegar and witch hazel, sq**rt in ear and squish and massage, allow dog to shake head, wipe out with fragrance free wet wipes .
Infected ears : note*. NO ESSENTIAL OILS TO ENTER THE EAR CANAL
3 drops lavender
3 drops Frankincense
2 drops basil
2 drops geranium
Blend oils with 50/50 witch hazel and water in a 50 ml bottle, moisten a cloth and wipe out the ear with the blend
Overnight results, smells a lot nicer, ear is cleaner, more comfortable and less irritable.
The combination of these oils helps rid bacteria, they have their own antiseptic properties, they promote healing , lessen the redness and inflammation and best of all, the blend is all natural.

Just a quick update on Jezzaar, she’s a bit red eyed and puffy, but coming along nicely. I put 2 drops each of Copaiba and frankincense in her meal twice daily for inflammation and pain, she gets turmeric as part of her daily diet. The wound was firstly flushed with hydrogen peroxide, since then I apply certified pure therapeutic graded lavender essential oil twice daily. Lavender is antiseptic, anti infectious amongst many of its quality properties, lavender is a must in the first aid box.

I also use this oil when one of my dogs has a tummy upset, when I hear the rumbling and they are a bit off colour, I blend a drop with some fractionated Coconut Oil and rub on their belly, just the way I would use it on myself if I have an upset tummy, its very relieving and settles it rather quickly

A week ago I started treating this girl for folliculitus . She was getting little lumps and sores around her head and mouth. I was applying lavender as it has great antiseptic qualities.
It got worse before it got better. 😩
The first 3 photos were taken yesterday after her bath and then application of eo blend, next lot of photos today, I think I’m finally getting on top of it.
Her wash is aloe Vera juice, Castile soap, myrrh, lavender and tea tree, lathered and rinsed well.
Then I apply Copaiba frankincense and lavender diluted following correct protocols and dilution rates 1:4.
Also a drop of onguard protective blend in her breakfast every 3 days. She also gets buddy good immune support daily along with probiotics. I’ve never had to deal with this before, I’m squeezing here sores and p***y blood coming out with a hair. I’m so glad I’m at that turning point and glad I persisted washing and applying blend twice daily.
Her sibling and her, rough play and do a lot of mouthing and grabbing the skin around the neck and mouth. Doing my best at keeping her comfortable, she’s not slowed down one bit but does get quite irritated at times so I apply organic coconut oil to soothe

It’s been a week now since I first noticed this lump. It was raised and hard. I applied coconut oil to soften the area, then washed it to remove the hair and reveal it. Ive been applying lavender daily , thankfully it has not grown any further, infact shrunk in size, praying it isn’t anything sinister. I will make up a tumour blend and be applying that for the next week, 🤞 .

Yesterday ,I had an earache, a sore throat and a slight headache, all down the left side.
Last night i put 1 drop each of Helichrysum, tea tree and basil on a piece of cotton wool and sat it in my ear, not pushed in just sat holding it for half hour. Today I have no earache, no sore throat and no headache 😁 . Please note no essential oil’s are to enter the ear canal.
Love the fact that I can rely on my essential oils for so many things, no need to visit the chemist or rely on big pharma. to 🤣

Finally got to the bulk foods store and fully stocked again 😁.
Breakfast mix of rolled oats, unprocessed bran, turmeric, black pepper, psyllium husks, diatomaceous earth all soaked and activated in boiling water allowed to cool. Topped with blitzed pumpkin seeds, natural Greek yoghurt, Buddy good immune support and a sardine, I’m out of blueberries 😫. Fibre and probiotics (and fruits like berries , bananas).
They will get half a chicken carcass this arvo and then they get they meat, necks and feet and organ and muscle meat with either Turkey or venison with blitzed veggies, garlic and acv for tea and some leftovers 😁.

The one thing I noticed with my journey using essential oils is people expect miracles. They use them once and say they don’t work. You aren’t gaining the benefits if you only use them once and they certainly aren’t miracles in healing, they don’t heal, they aid in recovery, they bring feelings of calmness, and help with moods and stimulate the brain . FRANKINCENSE SPOTLIGHT

Is there anything this oil cannot do?

Sometimes referred to as the king of oils, Frankincense is known to promote cellular health and immunity and can be consumed daily for these internal benefits. It promotes cellular health and DNA integrity for any lumps or bumps that your animal may have. Frankincense supports healthy function of the nervous system, immune system, and digestive tract. It helps soothe skin that is irritated, itchy or damaged, particularly when used in conjunction with lavender. It also relaxes and soothes sore muscles and joints in older animals.

From an emotional standpoint, Frankincense is the oil of truth and is quite helpful in rescue situations, particularly when an animal is un-trusting of certain people or if they have been “tricked” too many times. This oil is excellent to use in transitions such as adopting a new animal or if you are trying to build a stronger bond with your animal. It helps with feelings of abandonment and emotionally disconnected behavior. Frankincense promotes feelings of peace and trust.

Can you see why this is probably my favorite essential oil?

Here are some of my favorite ways to use Frankincense Essential Oil with animals:

- For horses and cattle, apply 4-6 drops along the spine from tail to head, over the poll, directly over the area of concern. You can give 2-5 drops twice daily with feed to give internally. (Optionally, you can dilute in a carrier oil for topical use to cover a larger area.)

- For dogs, dilute 1 drop in 20-50 drops of carrier oil (that is 4-6 drops in a 10 mL roller) and give one diluted drop internally mixed with food, or apply topically along the spine or directly over the area of concern or between the paw pads of the back feet. (Dilution for internal use is optional.)

- For cats, water diffusion is preferred. For topical application dilute 1-2 drops per 100 drops of carrier oil prior to applying to the area of concern or by petting along the spine (that is just 2-4 drops in a 10 mL roller).

Frankincense is safe to diffuse around reptiles, birds, and small mammals as well.

When in doubt, get the Frankincense out!

Talk about mozzies keeping me awake, that one constantly buzzing around my head, even Onslo got off the bed getting away from my crazy swipes. I eventually got up and filled my diffuser next to the bed, I already had a blend made up just ran out of water. That will teach me, I should know better, time to keep the diffusers running through out the house cause I ain’t using any of that toxic fly spray around my dogs.
