🌸 GRATITUDE will make your day brighter!
Guaranteed.
When I’m feeling lost, worn down, overwhelmed, anxious or frustrated, Gratitude will lift my spirits every time.
We have so much to be grateful for… especially the little things and when we can show our kids what simple gratitude looks like, we move mountains.
Our children are watching us always, so it’s important that we as adults have our own gratitude practice so we can teach our children the joys of gratitude.
Every time to teach this lesson in Empower ME Within the girls leave beaming with gratitude saying ‘I feel so much happier! I didn’t realize how much I already have’.
Do you have a gratitude practice at home?
Lest we forget 🌸
🌸 CALM Conversations
Learning how to have calm conversations takes practice!
We’re often not taught this skill and it’s one of the most important tools we should have in our toolbox.
I’m guilty of not always putting this into practice, my learned behaviour is to hide my thoughts and feelings until they come out in a burst of frustration filled with pent up emotion.
Not ideal.
But, it’s never too late to learn and it’s never too late to continue practicing how to have calm conversations!
It’s something I try to do better at daily & it’s one of the topics we teach in Empower Me Within.
I know how powerful it is when you change a generation of girls who can learn how to have calm conversations and in turn become women who can lead a calm conversation.
And that’s what I’m here for! 🌸
Were you taught how to have calm conversations and become emotionally intelligent?
I’d love to know! Comment below 👇🏼

Hey Parents! 👋
Did you know that building resilience in your girls aged 8-12 is like giving them their own superhero cape?
🦸♀️ It’s true!
Resilience is all about bouncing back from tough times and shining even brighter!
💪 Here’s why it’s super important:
💫 Tough Stuff Happens: Life can throw curveballs, but when girls have resilience, they’re like unstoppable forces! They can face challenges head-on and come out stronger.
🌈 Positive Vibes Only: Resilience helps girls stay positive even when things get gloomy. It’s like having a built-in sunshine generator! ☀️
🚀 Dreams Take Flight: With resilience, girls can chase their dreams fearlessly! Setbacks become stepping stones to success, and nothing can hold them back!
🤝 Friends Forever: Resilient girls know the power of friendship. They’re awesome teammates, cheerleaders, and shoulders to lean on! 👯♀️
Let’s empower our girls with the ultimate superpower: RESILIENCE! 💥
Tag a parent who’s raising a resilient rockstar! 🌟
Brave can mean so many different things to so many different people.
Sometimes it means knowing I’m good enough.
Or it means knowing I’m a good friend.
We can be Brave in our thoughts.
Brave in our actions.
Brave in our mindset.
Brave in our bodies.
Brave in moving outside our comfort zone.
Brave in speaking up.
Brave in walking away from a toxic friendship.
Brave in putting our hand up in class.
Brave in asking to sit with a new friend.
Brave comes in all shapes & sizes and will look different for each individual.
This is what I love the most about my workshops… it’s getting to see and hear what Brave means for different people and watching them grow their inner courage 🌸

Sometimes you gotta stop. And smell the roses.
I’m still learning Boundaries.
I’m still learning that it’s ok to say No.
I’m still learning to understand my emotions.
I’m still learning to catch my negative thoughts.
I’m still learning what’s underneath the trigger.
I’m still learning, and I’ll always keep learning because…
Self-Love IS the best kind of LOVE 💖
And when you learn to love yourself from the inside out, you learn to love all the parts of you that are still learning 💞
Gratitude is the gateway to happiness!
When I teach this lesson to the girls I remind them that gratitude for the things you have is the quickest way to bounce back when life knocks you down.
We underestimate how much we have to be grateful for and often only look at the things we don’t.
Gratitude is FREE and you can access it at anytime and any place!
Today I am grateful for the cool morning air, my restful sleep, the pillow that held my head, the doona that kept me warm and to be able to sleep next to my husband.
It’s the little things that matter and I would choose those things to be grateful for every day of the week over anything else.
Take a moment, pause and reflect…
What are you grateful for today?
🎈BUSTING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS 🎈
Throwback to the time I was running Sisterhood Workshops for all the year 8 girls at .
This was one of my most fun program to run because I could SEE the difference it was making to all of those girls.
Understanding their inner mean girl, understanding those unhelpful thoughts and busting them was POWERFUL 🎈
After the activity they all said how much lighter they felt. Like a weight had been lifted!
The following week when they returned all of the girls said how much that activity helped and how they were more aware of their inner mean girl thoughts and understood they now have a CHOICE to choose better thoughts.
Knowledge is POWER and that’s why I absolutely love sharing this knowledge with our Teen Girls 🌸
🌸 BElieve in YOUrself
Be You!
Believe in Yourself!
Two of the hardest things to do some times.
It takes practice.
But it can be done.
You have permission to BE YOU and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF 🌸
📣CALLING ALL: School Teachers, Wellbeing Support Officers, NDIS Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Life Coaches, School Counsellors and Psychologists...
Are you looking for more ways to support our Youth?
Are your days filled with being 'on the job' and you don't have time to create your own much needed lesson resources?
Never fear, my resources are here! 🌸
I've been working with Tweens and Teens for the past 10 years and I know the time and space needed to create lesson plans, workshops and new material that's fun and interesting at the same time.
Self-Esteem is one of my all time favourite topics, it's the foundation that courage, confidence and resilience is built on and it's exactly what our kids are often missing out on.
If you're as passionate about this topic as I am, and know how much our kids need this, click on the download link below and get access to your FREE 10 page Self-Esteem Lesson Booklet!
Give the Gift of SOARING Self-Esteem! Have a passion to increase the self-esteem of our youth? Me too! Hi, I'm Angela and I'm passionate about gifting the gift of SOARING Self-Esteem to all of our youth. In a world that is constantly giving them messages that they're not enough, let's empower them with the message they ARE enough!
I’d rather be mentally strong than physically strong any day of the week.
It’s the mental strength that will get you through the darkest days.
The mental strength that will get you back up again.
The mental strength to know you deserve better.
The mental strength to keep learning and uncovering new ways.
The mental strength to push yourself outside your comfort zone.
The mental strength to say no when it doesn’t feel right.
The mental strength to say yes when it feels right and others don’t understand.
I work on my mental strength daily.
It takes work, sometimes hard work and I’m here for it.
Until pushed, you don’t really know how strong you are and what you’re capable of.
I never knew the strength I had until I needed it.
And it’s something I’m grateful for every day!
What a privilege to be on the panel with these incredible Women doing amazing things locally and beyond.
Huge thank you to
Let’s continue the must needed conversation around positive body image 🦋
Wow what a night! So many powerful conversations about the important of positive body image and the impact it has on us and our children. Feeling very grateful to be part of this incredible panel of women!

Which local charities would you recommend?
🌸 Food Neutrality & Body Neutrality
How many of you grew up in a household that focused on how your body looks?
How many of you heard your parents talk about how much they weigh?
How many of you heard your parents relate food to body weight?
How many of you heard the conversations that sounded like...
'I must exercise after eating all that chocolate & hot cross buns'
'This is going straight to my thighs'
'I better do a workout after eating too much'
'My stomach is terrible, I have to get rid of it'
'I've put on X kg'
OR
'Look how much weight I've lost'
'Look how flat my stomach is now'
'I've just lost X kg'
'I watch what I eat now'
'I'm on a diet now'
OR
'Have you lost weight?'
'Wow you look like you've lost weight'
'You look great, did you lost weight?'
'Wow your muscles are BIG now'
'Have you been working out, look at those muscles'
OR better still....
Did you have a body & food neutral home?
A home where you don't discuss other peoples bodies or your own.
A home where you feel safe to be who you are on any given day.
A home where scales don't exist.
A home where you admire people for their kindness, their compassion, their determination, grit, intelligence, empathy & humour.
Imagine if we all had that.
Imagine if we all had a place where we could be ourselves 100%.
The Cosmetic industry, the Influencers & 90% of social media wouldn't survive.
Imagine that.
No, seriously... Imagine that.
It's never too late to start. Make your home a safe haven to 100% be yourself.
🌸 You are BRAVER than you know and STRONGER than you think!
When I first started out on my business journey I was absolutely petrified. I didn't feel brave at all but I knew I was strong. I knew I had the ability to dig deep and I had the determination but I didn't think I was Brave enough to do it.
Somehow being 'Brave' felt like I needed to have the courage & bravery to step out into a battlefield, and I certainly didn't have those skills.
I was just a Girl with a dream to help others.
To help others feel good about themselves.
To help others see that they belong.
To help others see that they are good enough.
To help others see that they are worthy.
To help others see that they don't need to compare themselves to others.
To help Women heal their Inner Girl who still thinks she's not good enough.
And to help Girls become Brave Women.
I've been on this journey for 10 years now and I still don't feel BRAVE but I know I am.
Putting yourself out there, taking tiny steps & believing in yourself is BRAVE.
Don't wait until you FEEL Brave, sometimes it's in the 'doing' that we become BRAVE.
What's the one thing you'd do if you felt BRAVE?
What a beautiful Easter Long Weekend 🐰🌸
We decided to have a ‘staycation’ this year and it was exactly what we needed.
Sleep ins every day, afternoon snoozes on the couch, bike rides, family time and lots and lots of rest.
We’re so used to ‘doing’ all the things and running on that treadmill that once we stopped we felt how tired we actually were.
It was perfect and so so needed.
What did your Easter look like this year?
Busy, full of rest or both? 🐰
From our family to yours, Happy Easter 🌸✝️🐰
MIND FULL or MINDFUL?
Life is so busy for us and our kids, waaaay busier than when I was a kid and way busier than when my kids were kids!
When you hear kids say 'the year is flying' you know their little life is busy.
When I was a kid the year went foooooooorrrrreeeeeeevvvvvvveeeeerrrrr.
Living life in the fast lane can mean we miss out on being in the present moment and being mindful.
Anxiety is on the rise, mental health issues are everywhere.
Make time to be mindful rather than have your mind full!
Teach your kids to do the same, show them what it looks like to be mindful, to meditate, to slow down, smell the roses, stop, rest and just BE.
I promise it will be MAGICAL ✨
🌈 GRATITUDE POSTER 🙏
It's such a privilege to see the gratitude girls hold in their hearts.
It's often the simple things that are the big things.
What are you grateful for?
GOT ATTITUDE??
Often when we start this lesson someone will pipe up and say "My Mum says I've got ATTITUDE" 🤣
This is a great Segway into... Well, let's turn it into an attitude of GRATITUDE!
Gratitude is the easiest and quickest road back to happiness, plus it's FREE.
Listing all the things you're grateful for will instantly lift your mood and take away any attitude that might be taking over.
I always start with the simplest things that I know I can't live without...
My pillow
My bed,
My sheets,
My doona,
The roof that keeps me dry, warm & comfortable.
The person that built the roof that doesn't leak.
Fresh water from multiple taps in my home
Electricity in every room
Fresh Food,
Our Fridge
My car,
The wheels on my car,
The fuel I'm able to purchase for my car
Etc, etc...
You get the picture!
We live in an incredibly lucky country and while yes, there are challenges in life and things can feel extremely HARD, I always go back to basics... my pillow, my bed, my sheets, my doona.
Without these essential items my life would be excruciating, I need sleep and I love my bed 😂
Find what your essential are and list them when you're having an ATTITUDE and want to turn it into GRATITUDE 🙏
FRIENDSHIP ISSUES?
Teaching our daughters about healthy boundaries, healthy self-esteem & healthy friendships all go hand in hand.
If we have a solid self-worth, which comes from our self-esteem, we will able to set healthy boundaries which will lead to healthy friendships.
Anything less will a warning sign to walk away.
Building your child's self-esteem and self-worth is CRUCIAL when it comes to healthy friendships and healthy boundaries!
And modelling what it looks like is one of the easiest ways to teach.
Do you gossip at home? Do you judge others? Do you focus only on the negatives? Do you body shame others and yourself? Do you put yourself down?
Be aware of the environment your children are in, the words that are spoken & the words they hear.
Modelling strong self-esteem and self-worth will help vaccinate your daughter against low self-esteem and lead to healthier friendships and boundaries!
DO YOU PLAY THE BLAME GAME?
It's so easy to fall into the trap of blaming the other person for the way you're feeling... you know what I'm talking about right!?
'It's YOUR fault I'm angry!'
'It's YOUR fault I'm crying!'
'Its YOUR fault I'm frustrated!'
You need to leave me alone, stop arguing with me, stop annoying me, stop making me sad, stop making me angry!!
It's so easy to point our finger at the 'other' person rather than looking in the mirror to ask WHY we're triggered by such an emotion, behaviour, act or words.
We hold the ammunition. We hold the trigger. We hold the wound.
Learning about emotional intelligence enables us to go 'within' and seek to understand our triggers, our wounds and why we 'blow' up when someone says or does something we don't like.
Does this mean we don't hold firm boundaries & let people walk all over us?
Absolutely not. Boundaries are crucial in learning to heal our wounds.
And becoming emotionally intelligent means we understand where our emotion stems from, what emotion we're feeling and enables us to have a calm conversation with the other person, set boundaries and ask for what you want or need in a 'calm conversation' rather than a big emotional outburst.
Learning how to have calm conversations enables us to feel empowered rather than victimised and is an essential tool to be teaching our children!
