For almoat a decade, I've had the privilege of practicing Arvigo Abdominal Therapy - rooted in the centuries-old healing arts passed down from Don Elijio Panti, Traditional Yucatec healer of Belize.

Last month fires destroyed 4000 acres of virgin rainforest in Elijio Panti National Park, 25% of the parks entirely! This forest is part of the heritage of Don Elijio's people. Renowned for it's rich biodiversity the park is home to a plethora of bird species including hummingbird, toucan and birds of pray as well as diverse fungi and important medicinal plants.

have started a fundraiser to support the reforestation and ongoing protection of .n.p.official National Park.

Mānawatia a Matariki! Happy Māori new year!

Blessed to be on the waka of remembrance, navigating the seas of māoritanga (Māori culture, beliefs and way of life) guided by our whetū, the luminous stars who show us the way.

Privileged and humbled to connect with my ancestral traditions through the school of Māori weaponry , Kapa Haka .honey08 and the practice of Romiromi (Māori healing) on this beautiful whenua that holds my heart.

May we move forward with care, lean in, and listen deeply to our tuākana, our elders, the traditional custodians of this land.

WOMB HEALING TREATMENTS

TE WHARE TANGATA // THE HOUSE OF HUMANITY

These are ceremonial experiences that honour the sacred space of the womb, held with deep reverence and integrity. Song, smoke, water, plants and prayers are offered to support your natural ability to heal and align. Hot volcanic stone and Maya Abdominal Massage is given on the front and back body to guide the womb into alignment and release tension from the diaphragm, sacrum and coccyx.

Traditional Māori healing techniques may be integrated to aid fertility, support the endocrine system and postpartum recovery, as well as releasing ancestral burdens and the affects of sexual interference and loss of life in the womb.

Each treatment is tailored to your unique needs and guided by intuition and expertise gained through 10 years of hands-on experience.

Hine Pū Te Hue

Wahine Atua of Peace, The woman of the hue...the gourd.

When this world was being destroyed by a great war Hine Pū Te Hue inhaled all of the mamae...the pain, the anger, the hurt deep into her puku (her belly) and held it there. With her exhale she sung a melody so beautiful it calmed and brought peace to the earth....

This photo of the hue on the paper bark speaks to me of the intersection of my Maori ancestry and my emplacement here on whenua Bunurong. It is a reminder of my blessings and my responsibilities to Culture and Country.

I will be sharing the story's and songs of my Tipuna at A Prayer for Peace and Unity this Friday night

An offering to come together and unite our voices with the shared intention of peace, to breathe, sing and feel together, to do what we can with what we have and turn towards with open hearts, supporting the innocent.

An invitation to gather together in conscious community to breathe, sing, connect and expand the vibration of peace and unity within ourselves and each other, so that it might ripple out in boundless and infinite ways to every corner of the globe.

Kawa Mate

Returning to a place of ancestral rest

When a pēpē (baby) dosen't make the journey to Te Ao Mārama (the world of light) the wairua (spirit) of that soul can remain embedded in Te Whare Tangata (the house of humanity/the womb) The pēpē's wairua can energetically hold space in the womb not allowing another pēpē to take up residence.

Kawa Mate is a beautiful, often emotional practice of imbuing pēpē's wairua into a special object and laying the spirit to rest in the ever loving arms of Papatūānuku (The Earth Mother)

Pictured is a beautiful placenta-esque rock I felt to perform Kawa Mate with for a pēpē that was not to be 18 years ago. During the process residual emotion flowed through my tinana (body) and my womb quivered as the wairua of my pēpē moved to the stone. I laid her to rest with prayer, song, and smoke from the great Kauri at the urupā (cemetery) of my ancestral marae in Anaura, where the whenua meets the sea.

This is one of many incredible learnings I have carried home from my ancestral lands, taught to me by the ever humble who trained under Tohunga Papa Hohepa De La Mere (Papa Joe). Grateful for the generosity and potency of Wikitoria's Romiromi wānanga's and looking forward to sharing this mahi with my community on Whenua Bunurong.

Women/The Womb/The house of humanity

Te Whare Tangata is tapu, sacred and restricted. Our mana (power) as Wāhine (women) rests here in the fertile soil of Te Pō (The Darkness). The awa (river) between worlds birthing our babies human and creative into Te Ao Mārama (The World Of Light)

Expanding my knowledge, attending wānanga in Aotearoa this November and February. A couple of treatment spaces left next week before I leave. Big things brewing around my mahi and sharing wisdom, watch this space whanau.
