Bendigo Sportsmen Association

There was a gathering of tribes of the Sportsmen’s Associations of Australia in Bendigo on Sunday. Ballarat, Creswick and Corangamite groups travelled to Bendigo to do battle in the golf, lawn bowls and pool arenas. All participants were treated to delicious lunch by host club Bendigo. Perfect Bendigo weather and friendly rivalry made for a great day. We finished with drinks and tasty dinner at the Bendigo Bowls Club who again were fantastic hosts. The local BSA came away victorious in pool, golf and aggregate shields with Ballarat going home with the lawn bowls trophy.
Special thanks to all committee and club members and family volunteers for making this event such a success.

So its farewell to Pambula after two great weeks of swimming, fishing,cycling and good times with friends.

The first bbq for 2024 and there was no shortage of conversation as members caught up after the Xmas break. Our Mission Statement is now proudly displayed as is the list of sponsors who generously support us. We look forward to another year of providing support to young sportspeople.

What a fantastic night at the annual Junior Sports Star Award and Christmas Dinner. The four quarterly Sports Stars, Sophie Hughes, Henry Allen, Amelia Mitrovic and Maddie Douglas shared their passion and achievements in their chosen sport. Sophie Hughes - kayaking was the annual winner. Collingwood coach Craig McCrae treated attendees to an inspitlrational talk about coaching Collingwood to a premiership.
