Dave had the opportunity to visit the Master Builders Victoria team at their head office in Melbourne last week.

They are always so helpful in providing the latest information on all aspects of the building process, as well as up-to-date changes to construction standards and regulations.

WORKPLACE LEARNING: NER KAW HTOO

Ner Kaw is in Year 12 at BSSC and recently spent a week with Bendigo Precision Builders undertaking Structured Workplace Learning.
He was able to apply the skills he has attained in his VET Building and Construction studies, on the job site and in the factory.
“It’s been good, I’ve really liked being on site and doing the work,” Ner Kaw said.
“The supervisor has helped me very much and I’ve been able to do a lot of different tasks.”

David has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and has an endearing passion to provide his clients with a smooth, stress free, and rewarding process. With years of experience under his belt, Dave has obtained a wealth of knowledge, perfected his craftsmanship and is ready to work with you on your next dream project.

• His nickname is Dino.
• He’s a cats supporter (go cats!)
• He is from a family of six.
• Plays squash.
• Is a Formula 1 and V8 Supercars fan.
• Loves tinkering in his shed (as any builder would).
• Built a shed back when he was an apprentice which is still standing to this day!

Revisiting a family home we renovated (which is now for sale through !).

This house involved:
• Renovating all existing rooms (bathroom, living, study and kitchen).
• Building an extension, which gave the house an additional two bedrooms, toilet, bathroom, living room, and added storage space.
• Constructing a covered outdoor deck & alfresco area.
• Building a new shed & carport.
• Landscaping the back and front yards.
• Adding a retaining wall in the backyard.
• Removing old roofing tiles and replacing with colourbond iron.

What a TRANSFORMATION! Scroll down to see the before vs after ✨✨

When we initially purchased this home our goal was to flip and sell. But who knew 10 years down the road we would still be here & it would look this good? 😍 Thanks to Inside Home Living, Shannon Warren Painter and Decorator & Belz Plastering, our front living space has never looked better!

Changes we made:

Filled the door and made it a solid (blue!) wall.

Pulled out the air conditioner, replacing it with a window to add more light.

Gave the windows and curtains a much needed refresh.

Revamped the fireplace and repainted the walls.

Switched out the lights for something new.

And, pulled up the carpet to reveal the original underlying floorboards!

With the addition of thoughtfully selected furniture and styling direction from , this space is looking much more inviting!

Lining boards almost done & scaffolding taken down today at our Castlemaine project 🏠

Maybe we should be changing our line of work from building houses to building wedding arbours!

Here’s the latest one we built for our beautiful daughter’s recent wedding 👰

We didn’t quite find gold onsite today, but we did find a bit of history from 1902💰🤑

Thanks to Wikipedia, here are some of the events happening in 1902:
👉Edmund Barton was Prime Minister
👉Edward VII was King
👉Population of Australia was 3.8 million
👉Women were finally allowed to vote and stand in federal elections
👉Brisbane was declared a city
👉Collingwood won the VFL grand final, defeating Essendon at the first final to be held at the MCG before a record crowd of 35,000.

Now that we’re out of Lockdown 7.0, we were able to get back into finishing off the waterproofing today at our latest bathroom renovation 🛁🚽
