I wanted to take a moment to officially introduce myself as the new captain of this stylish ship. That’s right, I, Sarah, am now the proud owner of Robe! *insert sassy hair flip here*

First things first, shoutout to all the amazing customers who have supported Robe throughout the years. You guys are the real MVPs, making this dream come true! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you, and let me tell you, it’s been an absolute blast. But fear not, my friends, because I’m itching to meet even more of you fabulous folks!

Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Yes, I know I’ve got some mighty big shoes to fill. Fi, the previous owner, has created an incredible 17-year legacy that I am beyond honored to continue. But fear not, my dear Robe enthusiasts, for while I may be new to the ownership game, I come armed with a dash of Sarah sass that will take this store to new heights!

Rest assured, we’re keeping the same style, the same fabulous brands, and the same infectious Robe vibe that you all know and love. I’m just here to sprinkle some extra pizzazz on top! Together, we will continue to make Robe the go-to destination for all your fashion needs.

This bag is made from apples 🍏

Vegetax apple ‘leather’ is made in Italy from the cores and peels of apples that would otherwise go to waste. It has a waterborne PU coating meaning it does not contain toxic organic solvents. Vegetax is a certified USDA Biobased product, also certified by REACH, and Italian body Veganok as an ethical vegan material.

What's so great about apple leather?

Apple leather is a great natural alternative to animal hide leather. It is durable and breathable while also being hypoallergenic and UV resistant. But the most important thing about it is; it is entirely sustainable and ethical.

How is it made?

Manufacturing the leather involves dehydrating the apple waste and turning it into powder. The powder is then mixed with natural ingredients and a binder and spread onto a sheet until it naturally becomes a flexible leather material. Finally, it is mixed with polyurethane to create more durability and become PETA approved vegan leather.

Why is it good for the environment?

The apples are sourced from a region in Italy with a sizable juicing industry and a bountiful harvest of fruit. Naturally, this industry creates a lot of waste products, and the pulp, skin and core are often discarded. Vegan leather is manufactured by recovering this waste product and transforming it into a sustainable material that looks and feels like genuine leather. What's more, the few virgin materials used means fewer natural resources are extracted from the planet, creating lower emissions and lower energy consumption across the entire production.
